Spatial Modulation

Spatial Modulation (SM) is a recently proposed approach to multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. It aims to increase the data rate of a system without increasing the bandwidth requirements. It is more energy efficient than other MIMO systems and requires only a single radio-frequency chain. The video presents the motivation, idea and implications of SM.

We only see the reconstructed video at the receiver, it would have been interesting to see the transmitted video at the source and be able to visually compare the data loss during transmission - if that is even possible. Alternatively, there should be some BER analysis between SM and conventional MIMO systems

How do the two Rx antennae distinguish which Tx antenna sent the ray? Especially if there is multipath reflections.
