I’m appreciating how two coaches, who both know how to coach, and who both understand concepts such as way of being, metaphors, and image, can have a really quick and short conversation.

Thank you, Arvy, for confirming that yes, a short, well done session can change perspectives and thus outcomes.

As someone that is a coach I love how aware she is in terms of when Carl was speaking. Its amazing that they didn't allows their egos to get in the way

Thanks for watching and commenting, Shawn! As coaches, it's very important to notice shifts in a clients way of speaking and body language so that we can be curious about "what just happened" for the client and dig deep into what might be causing the shift. When we are curious without being judgmental, it feels natural to set aside ego and the fear of being vulnerable together.

I appreciate this so much. But for me, I’d love to see the follow up coaching session. What does it draw off of from the previous session. How to navigate a follow up

We are glad you found this video useful! You may also like this video of our CEO reviewing the session from a mentor coach perspective: ua-cam.com/video/2C8aIPA82UY/v-deo.html.
Here are 4 tips for navigating follow up sessions from our coaching education programs for you to explore:
      1. Start with a recap of what was discussed last session to highlight the key takeaways and goals that were established.
      2. Ask for feedback from your client to clarify how they felt about the previous session and to explore any unresolved themes.
      3. Review any progress that your client has made towards their goals since the last session.
      4. Set new goals based on the feedback from your client.

Would it not be a good question to ask him whether he understands how it feels to be a parent(s)?

Thank you for offering this question, Gravitas. It is in being witnessed like in a recording, with a mentor, coaching lab or triads, where we see choice points. Each coach brings their unique contribution to their clients and passion to be a lifelong learner. Thanks again for sharing!

Great to see how the coach guides the conversation, but doesn't offer advice or opinions.
