GREAT job.Impressive "TEAM" flow.Way to go on not FORCING your way up the slide, and letting the boat "RUN-OUT" underneath you.The VID is a must-see for the novice. The best to you all,& keep up the FLOW and all the SUCCESS in the World to y'all.
+Oscar Lee Here is the roster from the website: www.yalebulldogs.com/sports/m-crewhvy/2015-16/roster, and I believe that is the 2V from the race vs Brown today: yalebulldogs.com/sports/m-crewhvy/2015-16/releases/20160325eiatut. Do not know for sure - hope this helps!
Don't need swing to get speed. Better to keep the back end simple and avoid slowing the boat down, too much weight transfer to the bows will only make it harder.
Bow seat from 4:46 onward in the near boat...no wasted movement, direct oars...gosh that's nice.
Stroke made a big difference in the A boat over the B.
Its great seeing the surge of the stroke, a real sign of great rowing. I wonder why Yale has such a meditrain, long back-ended stroke?

This is spectacular. Thank you for sharing it. Do you have any others from training, please?

Coach Peter sent me
Ah, Yale has such a cute rowing program. One day it might be half as good as Washington's.
This comment really aged well
profd65 well Yale beat Washington in Henley royal regatta so...
Beat (every June) harvard.
Yale Boys! Yeah, Yale!
rare nage a tribord 2 bateaux
the beginning was earrape
Both crews are 'frig rigged' (Stroke is on bow side...)
+Gary MacMillan you mean starboard
+Gary MacMillan also they are port rigged? stroke seat is on the side of 2 seat...
+Shazs No, they're starboard-rigged, which is 'bow-side' rigged in UK lingo.
+Brielle Stark so in the UK they call it starboard if bow seat is starboard? because where I'm from we base it off of the 8 seat
In the UK, starboard is always bow side, no matter if the bow seat is on stroke side. So yes, bow side is always to the coxes right in the UK
violent finishes
they need to stop flip catching. it makes me cringe :(
whats flip catching?
Axel Dickinson squaring the blade right before the catch
What’s flip catching lol
People who square their blade while they are still at half slide are the ones who are the real cringe.
they have a lot of speed for almost no body swing
