Ah well, you could say ghetto or first rpg of the style we know today. There was this and Ultima for the c64 when it came out in Japan, and Ultima was pretty different, but still legitimate rpg, and the first couple ones were mostly developed by Japanese crew.
thank u 4 the vid. man, those wyverns scared the heck out of me when i was little. i wished it was in english thought so i could understand what was happening. i have this game in english and i remember my dad beating it once. ahh, those were the good days.
Wow at level 23 you should have been decimating these enemies until you get to the 3rd or 4th floor and start running into the blue and red dragons. Cool video but you should've fought instead of running away.
damn haha, i remember watchin my cuzin play this at my house 24/7... i remember my cuzin finally got to where the dragon king was and he accidentally chose to join da dragon king's side. he had to start all over from where he saved hahahaha.
I never thought I'd say this (really) ... but ... I think the American version of this game was better than the Japanese. Really I cant believe I just said that, and yet its true.
Yeah, the American version was waaay better for this game. Although I loathed the stupid old english style they used in translation. However, I can definitely see the roots of this game better in the Japanese version, what with the always-facing-forward and all.
so in the japanese version everyone looks butt ugly and faces forward and the credits are in english wouldnt that be like the US version having credits in japanese?
theres too many battles they just come back when you run from them...
LOL! This really shows how much better the US version is.
wasnt the U.s ones realeased on Gameboy and they were remade kind of?

@WHATTHEFUCKYOUMAN Yep! I got creeped out by it too, especially in Dragonlord's castle. That place just made me all kinds of nervous

Thou art a villain!
The US version feels like a much more polished game. I wish the localization team hadn't done that ridiculous Olde English thing though.
