I am a 30 -something woman working in real estate rental.
I own a small building which provides me with a monthly rental income to live on.
With this steady passive income coming in every month, I thought I didn't need a regular desk job at first.
I felt blessed, enjoying a life of leisure and travel while others were working.
I spent several years this way, doing nothing productive.
But then my friends started establishing themselves in their careers and developing expertise.
Since I wasn't doing anything, I began to feel left behind.
I sometimes even feel self -conscious when I meet new people, worrying they'll ask me what I do for a living.
Lately I've come to realize the value of work.
To shake off this sense of falling behind, I started studying English.
I recently enrolled in the Korea National Open University.
I'm working toward a day when I can be confident and proud of myself.
