My Notes: THE WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS 6 || THE REMNANT VOICE || 24TH OCT 2024 Apostle begins by highlighting a key theme: our accountability to God for everything we do during our time on earth. He introduces us to the Greek word Mistos, which means reward or wages. This word appears 29 times in the New Testament and refers to something received as a result of our actions, whether good or bad (Matthew 5:12; Romans 2:6). We are reminded that every action we take-whether it’s righteous or sinful-has a corresponding consequence. This sets the foundation for understanding how rewards are given. Judgment and the Role of Jesus as Judge: A key point Apostle Osayi brings out is that there can be no reward (Mistos) without judgment. And for judgment, there must be a judge. This is where many believers misunderstand Jesus. Some think He only provides grace and doesn’t judge. However, the Bible clearly states that Jesus is not just the Saviour but also the Judge. In Acts 10:39-42, we’re told that God has appointed Jesus to be the Judge of both the living (referred to as the "quick") and the dead. This means that everyone, whether alive or passed on, will be judged by Jesus. Again, in Acts 17:29-31, we see that a specific day has been set aside for judgment, and Jesus will execute it in righteousness. This emphasizes that we are all heading towards a day of accountability. 2 Timothy 4:1 adds that Jesus will carry out this judgment when He returns, which means we need to live in a way that prepares us for His second coming. The Timing of Judgment: Apostle Osayi moves on to the important question of when this judgment will happen. The Bible consistently links judgment with Christ’s second coming. In 2 Timothy 4:1, it’s clear that Jesus will judge the living and the dead at His appearing. This means that at His return, everyone will be brought before Him. The parable of the wise and foolish virgins in Matthew 25:1-13 shows how critical it is to be prepared. The Bridegroom (representing Jesus) comes at midnight, which symbolises the end of the age. Those who are ready meet Him with joy, but those who aren’t prepared face consequences. Apostle Osayi compares our current time to 11:30 p.m.-we are very close to the midnight hour! Judgment Will Be Righteous and Inevitable: Apostle Osayi stresses that when judgment day comes, there will be no hiding. Every believer will appear before Christ’s judgment seat. In Romans 14:10-12, we are told that every knee will bow and each of us will give an account to God. Apostle Osayi paints a vivid picture of this moment, where we won’t stand in pride but will kneel and confess our deeds before the Lord. Types of Judgment: The Apostle explains two key types of judgment that we, as believers, need to be aware of: Judgment in This Life: God disciplines us now so that we don’t stray too far from His path. He does this out of love, to bring us back into alignment with His will (1 Peter 4:17). This discipline can come in the form of challenges, but it’s all for our spiritual growth and maturity. Judgment in the Age to Come: This is the final judgment, where we will appear before Christ. At that time, we’ll receive rewards for our faithfulness (Romans 14:10). The choices we make now, how we live, will determine what we receive. A Call to Repentance: Apostle Osayi brings the message close to home with a heartfelt call for repentance. He urges us to respond to the Holy Spirit’s conviction-especially if we’ve drifted away from God’s path. If we sense God nudging us in our hearts, it’s His way of bringing us back into alignment before it’s too late. It’s better to face correction now than to face the consequences later at the Judgment Seat. In this life, God uses His judgment as a way to discipline and perfect us. But at the final judgment, there will be no more chances for change. The Midnight Oil - Be Prepared: Drawing from Matthew 25, Apostle Osayi speaks about the "Midnight Oil" that separates the wise virgins from the foolish ones. The Midnight Oil represents spiritual readiness-having a life that burns brightly for God. He reminds us to keep our lamps filled with oil, meaning we need to stay connected to God and live in a way that reflects our faith in Him daily. Just like the wise virgins, we must live in a state of constant readiness. This means living each day as if Jesus could return at any moment. Final Encouragement: The sermon closes with a powerful prayer for mercy. Apostle Osayi encourages everyone to turn back to God, to receive His mercy, and to ask for the "Midnight Oil"-the spiritual strength to endure and stay faithful until the end. He reminds us that the time is close. We are at the eleventh hour, and now is the time to align our hearts with God and live righteously, looking forward to the day when we will meet Jesus, our Judge and Saviour.
Thank You our LORD GOD and Father for sending us your sons at this trying times to show us your ways. Help us oh Father to align our lives to Your eternal Will Amen 🙏
As we come in repentance oh God we ask that you quicken us in our spirit man that you will show mercy on your people and bring us to realization of your purpose ❤❤❤❤❤
Holy Spirit, direct me in my career, and finances. As a single mother with two children with special needs life is an overwhelming journey, especially because I’m constantly faced with financial difficulties. Lord I struggle to provide the basic necessities for my sons, like groceries and rent. I pray for your divine intervention in my life, that you would provide for my children’s needs and guide me towards financial stability in Jesus name I pray.
Thank you very much for bringing us to the remembrance that we're accountable to the supreme Lord who is the judge of all the earth 🌍 may the good Lord preserve you for our generation 🙏
I pray believers, pastors, and leaders in Western countries will watch this. This has been the burden on my heart as I have experienced such teachings in the UK. They preach a one sided gospel all about the love of God, about grace etc leaving the believer with ZERO responsibility and ZERO commitment to God. They portray a God that has NO standards and ANY kind of offering is acceptable to him because he loves us so much. You can bring a blind, lame and defective sacrifice to him and he is compelled to accept it. Thank you Apostle for bringing a more wholistic knowledge of God to us. This will change how many of us relate with God.
@@godsown8624 You really hit the nail on the head. This preaching is wholistic. I cannot even get it out of my heart. Well said. What God has done in our heart, he will do the same for others who are listening 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
It is better to get the rebuke and chastening of the LORD in this life than to wait for His judgement on the D-Day. Thank you so much Sir, Apostle for these life giving and spirit energizing words of exhortation.
According to Matthew 25:6(kjv)...the time of the day allocated for this judgement is midnight(Which talks of the end of this age). Thank you holy spirit for this revelation. God bless you apostle.

Our true identities will be made known/manifest, on that judgement day. People may be deceived but the righteous judge is not deceived. A tried Christian is a practicing one not a professing one.
The judgement of Jesus on us in the present day - for disciplinary dealings and for perfection through the nudging of the Spirit or more grievous circumstances to bring us back to Him.
