That was nobody's fault. Just some really exciting 3-wide racing. I'm a Gordon fan and I wasn't even mad at Kyle or Ryan. When there's one million dollars on the line, anything goes.
*KEEP YOU FOOT IN IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
@Nate Allen. That would involve digging up the concrete beams supporting that wall, moving the catchfence back, (and then the grandstands would be dangerously close to tge catchfence),and then re-doing that whole process. The return on investment wouldn't be worth it, considering the drivers are only getting another 4-6 feet of space
This is why Shannon McGlamery lost his job as Gordon's spotter - he didn't tell Gordon that it was 3-wide and Newman was up top, Gordon thought it was just Kyle above him.
i was watching this and my heart was pumping like a freakin engine although i am aJeff Gordon fan- and i saw him wreck- i admit this race was pretty dramatic
I tell you what man, I am a huge Jeff Gordon fan. But damn, i dont care he wrecked. Since when does Kyle Busch or Newman or even Gordon have to give room going for a million dollars. SHit happens, thats what you call racing for a million dollars. I'd rather see Gordon crash because of hard racing than see Gordon win in a snoozefest. AWESOME RACING!
@111cados111 Kyle Busch could have moved up the track almost a full lane, if he would have done that, nobody would have ever made contact. Kyle was way too low, and Jeff made slight contact with him, and he couldn't save it after that. But that's just 3 guys going for 1 million dollars.
It's funny how many people agree with me in person, but here in post land, a lot disagree. Maybe there is another championship on his horizon, but I just don't see it. Of course, he's a hall of fame shoe-in, there's no doubt, but I think those winning days are gone.
Points lead? This was an All-Star race, there are no points on the line, just a shootout race and some fat cash for the winner. that's why people race hard in this race...its short, no worries about the Chase and there serious money to be won!
The All Star Race should always be this exciting...man the ever since this night, the leader at the beginning of the last 10 laps just drives off for a boring finish
ok i know safer barriers are better i think the should make them so they dont stick out of the wall and make it so that the safer barrier is where the old wall was and push the old wall back
COT got so much shit in my opinion because they kept changing it, making teams have to start over every year. I thought the ones with the wings had great racing even though they were super dangerous and looked horrible
This was amazing. I'm a Jeff Gordon fan but damn that was awesome racing! THAT how an All-Star race should be! And I LOVE the commentary ...thats why I love Fox. They get so into it!
Not much debate. Only debate there'd be room for is Jeff possibly got aero loose off the corner, in which case was only racing. Just 3 guys who refused to lose.
DW almost sh*t himself. I mean this is the best racing I've seen in a NASCAR race in a very long time!!! Jeff clearly had the best car in that segment, but ohwell I'm excited for the 600.
Gordon's glory days of winning 10+ races are over and done. The competition is too even, the C.O.T ruined that, and finally, he had a child. Nothing will kill a driver's youthfull need to push it to the very edge and take extreme chances, like having a kid. Now he has to think about something other than himself. That equals a lot of races between wins.
Wow this was a great race with cars going airbourne at 1.5 mile tracks what will this race bring (YES I AM WELL AWARE THAT THEY HAVE A LESS CHANCE OF GETTING AIRBOURNE BECAUSE OF THE SPOILER AND SHARK FIN) But otherwise what will it bring
I’ve probably watched this 500 times in my life.
"Keep your foot in it AAAAAAAAAAAARGH" Best part ever

to me, as a Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, and Jeff Gordon fan, they all raced hard right there.
WOW i loved the commentary it was insane. i love the excitement!
Man this is easily one of the most exciting finishes of the year.
So glad I get to say I was at that race
How did you feel
I just LOVE the commentary. They're so excited they can barely speak!

0:50 - All Star Rice
It's a joke since last year. 2010 and 2011 weren't terrible, but 2012 was clearly set up for JJ to win, as was 2013.
The Goat did his thing.
wow, dw excitted. hope he gets that happy sunday
its the all-star race with 8 laps to go...newman saw an opening and went for it. its prolly why tony wanted newman to race for him
@111cados111 Kyle Busch could have moved up the track almost a full lane, if he would have done that, nobody would have ever made contact. Kyle was way too low, and Jeff made slight contact with him, and he couldn't save it after that. But that's just 3 guys going for 1 million dollars.
Wow DW .... Just wow.... thats excitement
@DaveyMurray1 he wouldnt have back off. there was over 1 million reasons that told him not to back off
Darrells yell

1:08 WOW!
the day that the fans don't cheer when gordon wrecks is the day he should retire
Points lead? This was an All-Star race, there are no points on the line, just a shootout race and some fat cash for the winner. that's why people race hard in this race...its short, no worries about the Chase and there serious money to be won!
DW Screaming
i watched it live and thought Kyle Busch wrecked and was cheering for a half a second... until busch saved it and wrecked Gordon
yes. more action into it
but the problem is that gordon could still be in the lead for points if he won this race
gordon didnt wreck them.. newman.. goin to the top gave busch nowhere to slide up which meant gordon couldnt stick to the inside the whole way through
The All Star Race should always be this exciting...man the ever since this night, the leader at the beginning of the last 10 laps just drives off for a boring finish
I have done this several times on nascar ps2...lol...
ok i know safer barriers are better i think the should make them so they dont stick out of the wall and make it so that the safer barrier is where the old wall was and push the old wall back
look up there.......green flag, then yellow when he got hit, then red when oil was spilling out
replace the radiator and sheet metal and bring that car back to the 600. i was at that race and the last 2 segments his car was hauling ass
2012 still the same kyle busch vs jeff
u almost had me snapping lol, til i saw this comment
24 he out there lol
looks to me like gordon spun in his own tears.
its so funny listening to darrell lmao
they dont care like they used to hes hasnt been treated like a 4 time champ he always loses now because they care about jimmie the most
i thought jeff gordon was going to win this race
ill drink too that!
Rice Newman!!!
Ryan Newman can really drive when he wants to
this is one of those moments that the commentators stop being commentators and start being true race fans
People won't admit it but the COT made for some good racing.
@GN exactly
ochobinco they’re to busy comparing shit
ochobinco nostalgia
It had its high points and its low points like every gen car but it did have some good racing especially towards the end of its era
COT got so much shit in my opinion because they kept changing it, making teams have to start over every year. I thought the ones with the wings had great racing even though they were super dangerous and looked horrible
The reactions of Darrell ,Larry, and Mike..>>>>>>>>>
The speed, the sound of the engines at 9000+ rpm...things we took for granted. Have yet to see anything like this from the next gen car.
The new gen is a damn joke
This was amazing. I'm a Jeff Gordon fan but damn that was awesome racing! THAT how an All-Star race should be! And I LOVE the commentary ...thats why I love Fox. They get so into it!
Now it's a shit show
Oh no.
that was some good racing right there
KEEP YA FOOT IN IT! AHHHHHHH!
*Pow*
what a shame! Jeff had the best car by far. Although there was not much anyone could do to avoid that wreck. PLUS $1,000,000 was on the line
NASCAR is the only Motorsport that has an All star race.
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
We love you Darrell Waltrip :)
If the racing was THIS GREAT then NASCAR would be great again.
It just did
The pit stop 48 Productions Lol. The open was crazy too. The finishes to stage one and two were wild.
Have you seen the past 'Dega race?, that was a cool race, in a 2005-ish style.
@@HirokaAkita No one ever wants to acknowledge that race for some reason. It was one of the best races of the year.
@@StormSliders It's because of the shitty finish.

Last good all star race
2010 was good
the final segment of 2016 was good
I think 2018 was the last great one
That bump draft is probably one of my favorite clips to watch
''Have you Ever?'' ''No I have never!!!''
Bring back the COT. Makes damn good racin.
1:01 sounds like Mike Breen
I'm not a NASCAR fan but I screamed when watching this. 🤣
THAT WAS SOME GOOOOOOOD RACING THERE. Too bad Jeff wrecked though...
I was so hoping Ryan would have pushed Jeff and not Kyle since they were kind of teammates and were both Chevy.

loose?? no, jeff was losing the nose off of 4 there, definitely not loose. pushed up into kyle. tight racing.
I wish i could see D.W.'s face while he yelled
I was at that race
Liar
LeBron James you have no proof
lol DW...."AHHHH"

DW almost sh*t himself. I mean this is the best racing I've seen in a NASCAR race in a very long time!!! Jeff clearly had the best car in that segment, but ohwell I'm excited for the 600.
Agreed. No one on TV does it better than Mike, D.W., and Larry Mac.
@111cados111, you cant go three wide in that corner. jeff would have been fine but there was 3 cars there.
I flipping love Darrel and Larry! They freaked out sooo much in this race and I pissed myself with laughter!
Jeff Gordon actually had a chance to save this car if he would have kept it turned to the left
man I like FOX, they are the best! So much energy they have! To ban Gordon Wrecked. :(
THIS WAS SOME AWESOME RACING! I think it's safe to say this year's all star race was a great improvement from last year's disaster.
Awesome racing. The All-Star Race is awesome, in that drivers do things on the track they would never do in points races.
BEAT THAT F1!!!
That was an amazing race.
This was one of the best races I ever saw
jeff gordon pudo aber ganado si no se ubiera accidentado
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
As a Jeff Gordon fan, that sucked. But that's the kind of racing I'd want to see every weekend.
What happened to the great all star racing :(
i love this commentary
You've obviously never heard Murray Walker before.
@BoogityBogityBoogity And on SPEED!
stop with the thumbs down. Ive liked snce i was 4 and i agree with you. I think he will get another champion before he ritires
They were still 3 wide!
Last good all star race

looked like short track racing at 185 mph! i love it! if only gordons spotter was a little faster at saying 3 wide then it would have been awsome
Darrell Waltrip: AHHHHHHHH!
Wow this was a great race with cars going airbourne at 1.5 mile tracks what will this race bring
