I think most parents are in denial about their own mental illness when they have bad relationships With their children. Or are in denial about their children's possible mental illness.

I had a mother dog do the same with the runt of the litter, tried to get her to accept the pup, but had to find a home for the pup, because mother bit it's neck near the jugular vein, this mother dog in video is acting same way, better watch that pup, might wake up and it will be dead, mother doesn't want it, thinks it is weak. Find pup a good home before too late.

Even going for the neck can still be playing. And a little nibbling on the back of the neck is like massage. Dogs can play a bit rough. I would say don’t intervene unless it’s getting too rough or one dog is exhausted. The dog will come to you asking for protection if it needs it.
It is destroying the spirit of this young pup to be abused by mother. Please stop allowing mom to abuse her. Correct mom or at least separate them. But it needs to stop.

Please get therapy. There’s nothing wrong with it, I’ve been getting therapy for over 10 years and I’m only 21. I got it cause I got cancer as a teen so it helps talking about that but it also helps to talk about different stuff like things with my family. I think I’m a much more mature and smarter person than most 21 year olds cause of it. People always like the way I think about things and deal with them and I’ve all learned that from therapy. Make sure you have someone you’re comfortable with and that’ll really help you, trust me. People can say whatever they want (if you don’t keep it a secret, which most unfortunately feel like they have to do) but it’ll be very beneficial for you in the long run.
My advice to you is, best you can do is cut her out of your life entirely. Sometimes reconciliation is not an option, some people (most people I'd argue) never change so you'll only end up hurting yourself more. You can get every type of therapy in the world but at the end of the day, you're not the one causing the problem so therapy is useless on you.
Mom dog upset me at first, but now in hindsight, understand the explanation. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort for the two beauties. I love your videos!

I avoid intervening, but I made the pup understand that if it was too rough for her or she was exhausted, she could take refuge in my arms. It seems similar here. The mother just wants to have fun, but it’s a bit too much for the pup. Nothing serious, but the pup needs some peace and quiet.

@Memcha Laishram Too late now. A resident cat, Barney, was hyper territorial. He was such a gentleman with people but a real monster with any new cats. He hated Sallycat and her sons. He never quit.......till one night he must have arranged another dust up with poor little Sallycat and a Panther got them both. I am so going to crack that Panther in the ass with my pellet gun next time I see him. The boys stay in at night now. Here's hoping he winds up as road kill.

For those who don't believe that she was just playing: I have a dog that has the same behaviour. 4 times she gave birth for the total of 11-12 puppies. She took care and protected them well, but after they all grown up 1-2 months old, she taught them to be active by playing, biting and fighting, often times the puppies are crying and scared. For us it seems so harsh and rough, but in the end i realized that the puppies know how to defend themselves. It is natural. Also when the puppies' teeth are growing, they will BITE their mom or biting each other like having a fight, but it's not. That's just how the nature works.

@@febcafino2704 the dog? Yes she does have a heart. She likes her puppy and wants to play with her. Her body language is perfectly friendly. The only problem here is that she wants to play too much, that the puppy doesn't get to eat as much or sleep as much etc. But the mama is doing nothing cruel, and by the end she was totally doing the right thing. Jeez some people dont get animal body language at all
