Plus, with social media, almost anyone can quickly become a musician…but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re truly talented, creative, or artistic and have staying power. Honest has talked about how “artist development” from labels is a thing of the past, so they’re just raw dogging their career. And these musicians don’t have to work their way up anymore, so they don’t even build connections that would facilitate working w/ the folks behind the scenes (i.e. producers, engineers, & songwriters)
Because labels and “artists” themselves don’t invest in artist development, and most are manufactured and think they can skate by serving the same meal and not switching up the menu, like no! We bored.
They are plants. They are not artists.

Take this as an example: Megan thee stallion's something for thee hotties (2021) and traumazine (2022) they both have different lyricism and Megan has shown in traumazine that she grew lyrically, she didn't just grow lyrically, she started to rap about different topics, i think ice spice should try to rap about different topics or try to grow lyrically, she has the potential but she isn't showing it
The issue with Megan is that people are not willing to listen to her. They call her a one-trick pony too because "she raps the same way in all her songs" however they only talk about her title tracks or songs that get popular. The biggest issue comes from the rap industry itself that doesn't allow female rappers to show nothing but their bodies.
