You will likely see your children become more self-confident in their ability to swim, after they experience and receive praise and recognition for successfully passing their OPTIONAL SELF-RESCUE CHALLENGE.
FYI: Long before they actually do these OPTIONAL Self-Rescue Challenges, we teach them the skills (in baby-steps), practice First Falls into the pool at the beginning of their lessons, teach them to swim with shoes, etc. They are well-prepared for the event, BEFORE we they do this. Parents, if you want your child to experience this, so that they are less likely to panic when a real-life situation, let your teacher know.
