I love watching your videos. After a 20+ year break from skating, I'm trying to rebuild my confidence, but I must admit it's been extremely difficult. I've been having a hard time trying to find videos that caters to safety and skill for skaters who may be larger in size. I would love for someone to share some videos or links to recent educational videos for overweight skaters. I brought skates in 2022, go to the rink often, but never skate due to fear of falling. I'd even watch a video, put them on at home, get scared and take them off. I would really like some guidance on conquering this fear since skating was once one of my favorite hobbies.

Yaaas!!! I'm the one, not laughing at you falling. Im just grateful, you didn't take me down with you, like the kids, that immediately grab for your legs, as they are going down. Happens in both ice and roller skating. Just cause that pint sized pack of trouble didn't want to meet the floor!!!😅. Instead, there you are... If it's on ice, at a not so well kept rink, your pants are getting soaked. That's the blessing in disguise for me, coming back to the roller rink!!!

What's the American skating scene like? Over here in Australia, most are on rollerblades. Just not as magical as in the "olden days" when roller-skaters actually skated on roller-skates. There's something really special about quad skated on a rink. It's like they're at home.

Video Suggestion/Question: I am old (40s) and been skating (probably twice a year) for over 30 years. I broke my ankle (3 yrs ago) and now have 2 plates and 10 screws in my ankle. Previously I used Derby skates but am curious if I should swap to a boot now? Or not?
2nd part/question, outdoor skates. What should I be looking for? Vinyl? Or Suede? Thanks for the tips and info.

Isn't it best to start with a good pair of roller skates...especially as a beginner? My friend gave me a pair of Chicagos, but the left wheel keeps on going to the right which crosses over in front of my right. Any suggestions And men can wear white skates...wow

hey im using Roller Derby Girls Pixie Holographic Roller Skates with Adjustable sizing skates and when I try to turn my foot using my roller skates and its does not turn smoothly the wheels are made of utherene and whenever I try to do like for example a bubble move and the roller skates arent turning smoothly and it make a loud noise when I turn it. I think its because I'm doing it on laminated flooring I don't know can you please help or give me tips? Also I already adjusted my wheels to make them turn faster
