Which range is the best for matt emulsion paint 0-25ųm or 0-50ųm

It depends on how you got the flat sheen. Whether with coarse-grained fillers or, for example, wax with a smaller particle diameter. Then, knowing the d98 of your fillers, select the appropriate grindometer range.

The TIDAS unit from Labman Automation automates this process removing user subjectivity

Reading experience backed by inter-laboratory testing on the standard reference materials also ensures no subjectivity and the reading is carried out in accordance with the standard. The key is to properly dilute the sample as recommended in D1210

I prefer the manual gauge over the TIDAS unit. The instrument is extremely unreliable specially if you’re running multiple types of samples of various thickness.

@@KS.Caffeine you are not perfect to do a drawdown at the same pressure, and same speed every time, whereas this instrument can.

What is those black rubber on the table?

This is nothing special related to the test. An ordinary anti-slip pad for a cell phone, so that the grindometer does not slide on the table, which is quite slippery ;)
