"One of my best lives, really". I loved that even though Ethan was his favorite, he cherished his other lives too.
The part that really made me cry was that Maya was crying, indicating that she knew he was about to go.
This was filmed locally
I to have had a corgie maybe not pure corgie or the other kind anyway her last night with us on earth was the only night she had siezurws well mom sleeps sound n just outside her room I lived separately but came to spend the lastnight she reached up to heaven in the morning with her legs and what almost seemed like a big smile
This scene hit me hard. I grew up with a male Corgi named Jackson, and a Beagle named Brandy. When Jackson had to be put down, Brandy wasn't really the same afterwards. She'd sit at the door and stare out, she wouldn't run around as much anymore, and eventually she got cancer in her kidneys. The house was really quiet after that, and I try not to be sad. They're together now.
Sometimes a dog will sit at the door and stare out, waiting for the other dog to come back. And it never does.
Brokenrain223 One of my corgis names is Jackson, my old corgi, Todd was my first ever pet, I loved him so much and when I was little I would always feed him a bunch of snacks because I loved watching him eat, eating was his favorite thing in the world. Until a few years later he stopped eating, he wouldn’t eat anything we gave him. So we took him to the vet and they told us that he had diabetes, and that they needed to keep him in the hospital and put a tube down his nose to get rid of the bile in his stomach. Later that night we got a call from the animal hospital telling us that Todd had died of a heart attack. I was devastated, I was so depressed along with everyone else in my family, until a few years later when we got to corgi puppies, one name to Jackson and the other one Bradly. And I think they healed our wounds for the most part
So sweet but sad. Sorry for your loses
@@Lucy-id2nh omg that's sad too
At 1:19, This scene reminds me that I had orange cat once. We rescued her that she was abandoned. We kept her, loved her, and we named her Marie. Some years went by, we feed her. But she is not eating. We are going for a walk. She kept lying down on the bed. She is sleeping. Some weeks later, she went outside and she is gone. She came back for three days. I know for what she is trying to say. She says her times is up and it is time to say goodbye. She went back outside and she never came back. I am glad we did not put her to sleep from the vet. She found the place where she can sleep and rest in peace.
Dogs should be able to live forever
Yes they should live forever
I wish 🐕
Yea
I don't think that they should be alive forever. Just to have long lives like us. A dogs heart would be broken by all the owners they watched die.
We all be immortal
I can see why Tino (Bailey) considered his life with Maya in this life one of his best. She did a good job taking care of and loving Tino. Even after she got married and had kids.
"one day roxy went to the vet... and she never came back."
Me: "just give me a minute"
*bawls eyes out*
Ashton Zautke true
I think I hear my stove calling*Cries like a baby*
When we came back without my cat that we had since I was 6, her niece new, and went and sat in a spot for three days
wait i think my dog is calling me *cries so much that bathroom fludded*
Ashton Zautke I cried so many times during this movie
*im surprised the movie theater didn’t flood*
Well when I watched it at home, my house flooded.
Because people don't want to see good movies those movies which tell you the truth and which gives you a lesson.
toe chips it’s because of that fake leak. Ruining the movies for a lot of people
According to mr.plinkett, people don't wanna watch masterpiece movies.
I cried and I’m not gonna lie because you really can’t.
I swear its impossible for me not to cry. EVery time the damn dog dies i cry everytime
matthew james me 2!!!
Same omg
This is so true
Shows you got a heart 💜
Ik this is why I refuse to watch dog movies smhhhh
No pizza .... that's when you know a dog is gone
SgghstsgMAYA you're right
The day my dog died I knew it was the moment when he refused a treat
Yup...the day my dog was ready to go he refused all foods. I even stuck a tiny piece of chicken on his tongue and he spit it out
@@SonnyJCrockett84 :(
@@gracerideshorses7309 I was (sort of) lucky. My Murray died bc he had bowel cancer. When we went to the vet to put him down, we spent the last half hour feeding him little pieces of roast beef.
I’ve never cried so hard in my life. This was a beautiful way to go, with your owner by your side.

@jonathancruz5932 I lost my dog Precious 9 months ago. It was so heartbreaking, but I'm just glad she wasn't suffering before she died. She went peacefully as she laid in her bed. I can still remember hearing her last bark before she left us 😢. It was painful, but I'm pretty sure it would've been more painful if we had to put her to sleep. I'm just glad she lived a long 12 years.
Its terrible when we lose a pet the pain is unbearable it does pass in time just remember the years you spent with eachother i still cry for my boy i miss him so much itll be a year in november
Arthur Sliker I think the one thing I can disagree on is that no matter how much time passes, deep down losing a dog still hurts
The Man With the Annoyed Face ok your right about that everytime im remembered of him i cry it does hurt
Arthur Sliker my dog died a month ago
I can’t get over it
Nellyymariexoxo im sorry for your loss its a diff thing to go through just know you gave them a good life full of love maybe after some time maybe get a rescue and give another one a good life filled with love thats what i did but i never forget my buddy itll always be hard just takes time and come to peace with it
This was the most peaceful death in the movie and the least sad one. I cried like hell when Bailey died, I sniffed when Ellie got shot but I didn't when Tino died. It was just so calm and peaceful and you know the family, he is leaving behind will be happy without him because they still love each other. Completely in Contrast to poor Carlos... He was really the one I pitied the most. He's so lonely and loses the only love he has left in his life. I really hope, he found someone else and didn't shoot himself in dispair....
And Baileys death... painful, but peaceful, too. I think I cried the most, because the film sequences followed Baileys life longer and I started to relate to that fluffy little furball. All in All "A dog's purpose" was one of the best dog movies I ever saw. And it wasn't sad in the end like most of them. A dog's purpose had a very decent, happy and beautiful ending which will make me watch this movie over and over and over again...
CourageousSam in the book Ellie and Tino are the same dog. Ellie is first with Carlos and is transfered to Maya, and after a mission she retires. In the book Ellie meets Carlos one last time and it's shown that Carlos found himself a new family 😄 I like to think thats what happened to him in the film too
CourageousSam I only cried on the corgi death because I love corgis and they are so loving rip Tino
This is the one death that got me as I could connect to this life, and I was on a trip in Oxford when this was on when my college decided that we should take a break to see the film. I was missing my boyfriend so much at that time, so I kinda saw him in Roxy. I also have a fear of growing up and although I don't mind death, I would gladly accept it. I just fear him taking the ones I love from me and I have to live on alone grieving without them. One thing I do like in all the deaths, they were surrounded by they people they loved in some sort or another (except the first life as the pup, but I guess he had his mum, brothers and sister?)
CourageousSam o
Read the book.
As the years went by, I missed Roxy it just wasn’t the same without her. That line just made me cry and imagine what other dogs think about when their companions pass.
You are very empathic. I can sense that in your comment. 👌
I took both dogs to the vet when one had to be put to sleep so the other would know what happened to her. 😢
This movie was literally sadder than Marley and me like you had to watch the dog die over and over and over
Lovely Sunshinee yeah 😔
But then he comes back over and over. So he's never really gone.
Zoe Murtagh but in the second one when he dies for good is awful I cried so much
@@danayshagreene2557 Until the 3rd movie hopefully comes out
I would have to disagree I feel like Marley me is more realistic coming from the person who has lost two dogs both had to be put to sleep because of the age 🥺
“One day, Roxy went to the vet..”
Me: Oh, she’s pregnant!
“And she never came back…”
Me: OH NO….
Same I thought she was pregnant but..........
Give me a sec...*cries my eyes out*
I actually thought Roxy and Tino would tie the knot as well...
Imagine your dog telling u this before he dies. No cap but I’m finna cry.
no stem but im finna laugh
“I’m thinking I’m ready, one of my best lives really.”
*Edit* omg you guys why did this get so many likes I am confusion

The whole movie is just amazing. One of the best movies I've seen in years. The emotions play with you the whole movie. All the deaths are so tearful. and I have never seen a so meaningful movie in my life. A Dogs Purpose should get the "Best Movie In Centuries Award" it honestly deserves it. If you haven't seen it... SEE IT NOW!

This was my favorite life of his too. I’m a young women with a dog I got when I was 23. She has experienced everything with me & will continue too in my 30s with all of my adventures and life milestones. This scene I related to the most. Made me happy knowing my dog probably feels the same way & hopefully will think this way as well many years down the road when it’s time.
Why did I click on this. Seriously I know for a fact everytime I see movies with pets dying I tear up like a baby and still I keep doing this to myself.
LuckyMcCloud me 2...me 2!
The part where I start crying 1:01
BJVA85 Same
BJVA85
BJVA85 same😭😭😭😭
Everyone cries about THIS death on that part
BJVA85 same.
dude every scene in this movie is sad like every scene
I love Bailey and Ethan’s storyline but... Maya and Tino are my fav😭💛🙌🏽👏🏽
Every pet deserves to pass away peacefully at home where they're loved.
I just had to say goodbye 2 weeks ago to my sweet girl of almost 14 years , Dixie. Hardest decision but so thankful we were able to have the vet come to our house so she could pass peacefully, wrapped in her favorite blanket with her favorite toy, on my lap in the chair that was our favorite cuddle spot. She was a tiny 6 lb morkie but had the sweetest disposition and most purest heart. I miss her so much, sometimes I can’t breathe. 😢
I can relate to this personally, my great aunty lived alone until she was 40, when she met a lovely man, he was a ship captain, but then he died 10 years later. My great aunt wasn't sad at all, she didn't feel ripped off at what could have happened, she only felt grateful for the 10 years she did have with him, this is like this. Bailey/tino only knew Roxie for a short time, and despite the fact that he loved roxie so much, she ended up making 2 others fall in love (had he not stopped at the park to see roxie Maya wouldn't have met Al, the kids wouldn't had been born). Even though this life was just laying around and being tired (He likely thought that was weird as in his past two 3 lives he was either an energietic puppy or a big, hard working dog) this was still his best life. This scene makes me obscenely happy.
Dank Leonard uh....wrong. Maya and Al already met before the park scene. They were in the same class, Al invited Maya to be part of a study group or somethin’ but she refused coz she said she couldn’t have enuff time with Tino. Tino falling in love with Roxie at the park only brought Maya and Al closer coz they now have something in common.
What's shown is a sped-up timeline of events. Tino likely knew Roxy for years. Short compared how many years it had been since Tino was Bailey, but likely long considering Tino's lifetime
In my opinion, this is the saddest death in the movie.:'( Especially since my friend's nickname is Tino.
Madison's Daily Videos i feel like ellies was the saddest since the man that she left was all alone, she was the last thing he had and now he was alone
Diil oh really? I never knew that since i didnt read the book
Madison's Daily Videos ever watched Hatchi?
This and Bailey's death were probably the worst since I think a lot of people can relate to a dog growing old and slipping away. Also I'd say this one is extra sad as the scene cuts out right when he dies so we don't see the owner react to his unexpected passing.
When I first watched this movie, it made me cry so hard! I lost my dog when I was seven and got another back in spring. I love him with all my heart and am doing whatever it takes to to take care of him.
i watched movie in cinema it is so good and it becomes one of my best movies
Me too I almost cried I wanting the movie and the book for my birthday
me too
Знаете что самое обидное, у нас в городе с более чем 6 миллионов жителей этот фильм был лишь в одном кинотеатре, самом старом.
This clip made me cry my eyes out. It's so depressing
It's not. It's part of life. Hakuna matata.
“Everyone was good to me, but as the years went by I started to miss Roxie, it just wasn’t the same without her”
*buries head into pillow and sobs violently*
I purposely went to the bathroom during this part so I didn't cry again
"And they went and got more babies, seems like a mistake to me"
😂😂😂😂😂
When she started to say what are you thinking and he died and said my favorite life it reminded me of my dog who passed away in my arms
Two weeks ago we thought we were going to lose our pup lola to a tumor...the vet told us to prepare...and consider putting her to sleep because she is a senior dog (11 this year). The feeling of loss was incapacitating...I cannot describe how absolutely horrible it felt...thankfully, through surgery, she was able to have the tumor removed and her quality and lust for life has returned. She is the same pup she has always been...we love her. I prayed to God so much that he would let her stay a little longer, and he gave us a miracle.
Ilse L. thank GOD for that...and may the good LORD bless your dog many more years.
When she asks “What are you thinking?” I just lose it. Every time.
0:11 lmao 😂😂I died how the she drags the dog out and the dogs face is so cute my dog loves hiding under the bed and whenever I try to get her out she keeps going further down the middle and I have to get under the bed and drag her out lol
This film is one of the best if watched I excperianced almost all the emotions
Sadness, fear, happiness, empathy and more
I want to watch this over and over again
And cry all the time
“Roxy went to the vet and never came back” Oml I’m crying in the club rn
Emily Sandoval yeah....Roxie went black that day. MAGA!
U watched this at a club ? A community club or bar ?,
R.I.P Roxy 😭
Rania Shadik what happen to Roxy
Lisa Zhang she got put down
dream academy I’m not genna get in a fight but can you not
Lisa Zhang She Died By Sick Or Old
Lisa Zhang
She had to be put down because I think she was old or sick. :( because the narrator said "One day, Roxy went to the vet..and never came back."
I watched the movie yesterday and me and my friends couldn’t stop crying ;-;
If I was an actress and I had a crying scene. I would watch this clip everytime
I am on my second corgi. I lost my first one during her spay and it crushed me so bad. I hope whatever brief life she had it was her best with no grudges against me. My second one, time is flying fast, I love you
2:15 the moment i stared crying
I have 2 corgi and this was so sad
Jennifer Fraser I love CORGIS
Corgi owners unite! I upload videos of my goofballs sometimes XD
Dxrkened Soulz me tooooo
IDK WHY BUT THIS DING DANG SCENE MADE ME CRY THE MOST BC I FELT THE EMOTION SO MUCH.
This movie was great! So sad I cried the entire time.
I watched this movie in the theatre with my mom and three collage students we all cried like little babies from the beginning to the end
Dogs truly are better than people.
Oh my daughter cryed 3 times just watching the end of this movie, we loved it. She wants to see it from your the beginning now...don't understand why critic's give low rating for this great movie!!! 5 star
When your dog is your best friend this is a very deep pain...
"Tito what are you thinking 😢"
Me: *NO MA'AM. THE TEARS.*
I think dogs are blessings for humans to show how to love truly🥰
That scene still makes me cry i loved the book and movie so much!
So touching! I am a Corgi mom and I have raised many of them and buried many of them also but they have all been so very loved and I am grateful for having them in my life! I have a sweet boy named Bucky and he’s now 7 years old but Steven acts like a puppy! I know how much I am going to miss him when his time comes! But having him in my life is a wonderful gift! I know I will cry but I know I will see him again over the Rainbow Bridge!
That Roxy part got me... but what truly dried my eyes out was the death part....
I lost my best friend this year. Love you Skyler Boi. Thank you for the best years of my life. See you soon.
I loved this movie and is another reason I love dogs and will always respect them. Saw this in theaters in 2017 with my community hab worker and she cried, and I tried not too. Don't get me wrong I love my cats and all animals but I wish we would get A Cat's Purpose as it gave a dogs perspective and pov really well as I can't have a dog 🐕 :(
Hab worker ?? And can't get a dog because??
This film broke my heart, I love dogs and seeing his life as the dog left out in the cold weather was so sad😢
Reminds me of when my chihuahua Chile passed away on my lap on the way to the vet. His little brother Seamus the Cavalier was so sad when he never came home. He’d wait by the door for him. Luckily he’s happier now with Luna and Minnie to keep him company, but I’m never going to be ready to lose Shay. He’s my little snuggle buddy, my distinguished gentleman.
Yep he was a good country and the best spice (sorry for this comment I just had to point it out sorry)
hoshimaru hajime No worries, we made lots of jokes about his name, including asking, “you feeling... chilly, Chile?” if he shivered or didn’t want to go out in the snow.
Any dog movies make me cry
OOOOO MAH GAWD
*wipes tears and cries*
I'M NOT CRYING...
*cries more*
.. YOU ARE!
THIS DOG MADE ME CRY WATERFALLS EVERY DAMN TIME HE DIED!😭😭😭
WHY DO I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE SUCH LOVING COMPANIONS!
0:56. 😭😭😭WHY U GOTTA DO ME LIKE THAT BRO😭😭😭
I balled my eyes out watching this in theatres omfg I was a mess 🤣
Why am I watching this now I'm going yo cry😩😩😩😩😩
Thanks for the reminder that my dog with a strangely similar name died a few months ago (his name was Rocky) and the other dog, Astro misses him too much
"Roxy went to the vet and never came back" instantly heart drop 😭
It's just so sad....I dread this with my animals
1:07 here comes the water works ):
Awww Poor Roxie :( ❤️
2:21 where I start cryin
No matter how many times I watch this part I just cry my eyes out every time
ive been crying for hours and im just like "WHY DID I CLICK ON THIS KNOWING ID SOAK MY SHIRT. LIKE WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELFFFF?"
I always hug my dog while crying every time I watch this movie ):
I cried again.
“What are you thinking?”
Now that just hurts...
"She never came back"
OHH YOU ALMOST GOT ME THERE *sniffs* im fineeee
I just lost my baby two weeks ago and I’ve been watching these things because I still miss her so much. I really hope that if she knew what was happening, she thought this was a good life.
If your not prepared this movie will mess you up man like I never thought I could cry five times during a movie but I did
temato flakes same!
This movie got me in tears every sequence, every minute of change scene the first time I've watched this 😍😭🐶
Tino's death, he starved himself like Bailey did, but Bailey's kidneys shut down, but tino starved to death kind of like Bailey when Ethan left him
jacksongames no, it's old age getting the best of him. Bailey grew so tired during his final moments.
No old age
kawaiikitty duh.....Tino was old.....even old people like you must be losing appetite when they reach the age that you are in right now granma. MAGA!
That's just what dogs do- when it's their time to go, they just... stop being hungry.
I sobbed my eyes out the first time I saw this movie.

Ever time bailey pass away I always cry...like right now 😞💔
This part of the movie made me sad because it was so much like my life. I had an american pitbull named Roxie (not lying). We also had another dog name Shadow who,was a smaller dog then roxie. Anyways roxie was put down too because she was sick. So hearing bailey how he thinks when roxie is gone makes me gone because maybe thats how Shadow thinks. 🙁
Edit:: I just came back and wow. My grammar and spelling is horrible.
When a dog goes to the vet in dog movies you know what is happening .
Probably one of the saddest Bailey death's ever RIP - rest in peace😔😔😔😔
This movie portrays so well what it's like to love a dog. The first book was amazing
How life works after death, scenes like this hit me too hard in the soul
.
Someone once told me that, to dogs we are like elves. We age slower than them.
Ffs....my little buddy passed away before xmas and i think the ending summed his 15yrs on this earth up in a nut shell..
I haven't even seen the entire movie. This one clip is making me bawl 😭
We recently had to put down my childhood dog I've had since I was ten. This scene has never hit me so hard.
I wish this part of the movie was longer because I love Tino! It was such a nice part of the movie, I loved it so much
I have a corgi, when I saw this movie i ran to my house to hug her. When time passes I can notice my baby is growing. I’m scared knowing that one day she won’t be here. It’s awful having to know that your daughter, your friend, your BEST friend will be gone before you.
A dog going through depression! THIS MOVIE HITS HARD!
I thought this was gonna be happy and uplifting but it's been 5 minutes since it finished and I'm still crying
Ive been putting off watching the movie since I cry alot with things involving animals- sure enough I cried with this.
How can I watch a whole movie when a 2:45 minute scene is enough to make me bawl my eyes out.
