The Men’s Triple Jump competition got underway at 19:06 (local time) on July 1, 2021, at Bislett Stadium, Oslo, Norway. According to Official Diamond League Records at the time of the event, the temperature that evening was 24°C (75°F), and the wind speed varied from -1.0 to +0.9 (m/s). The Humidity in Oslo that evening was 35%. Oslo is located at an Elevation of 23m (75ft).
Side Note: a negative wind speed implies the athletes faced a headwind. The opposite is true. End of Side Note.

Yasser Mohamed Triki (ALG): Tokyo-Bound Olympian. Men’s Triple Jump. 2018 NCAA Champion; 2015, 2015, 2017 National Champion (Long Jump); 2017 National Champion; 2015 African U20 Championships (Long Jump) Bronze Medalist; 2017 World University Games (Long Jump) Silver Medalist; 2019 All African Games Silver Medalist; 2019 All African Games Champion (Long Jump); 2018 African Championships Bronze Medalist. National Indoor Record Holder: 17.12m (2019). His PB=SB=17.31m, Ranked #22.
Andy Díaz (CUB): Tokyo-Bound Olympian. Triple Jump. 2017, 2019 National Champion; 2019 Pan American Games Bronze Medalist. His PB=SB=17.63m, Ranked #23.
Tiago Pereira (POR): Tokyo-Bound Olympian. Triple Jump. 2015, 2019 National Indoor Champion; 2019, 2020, 2021 National Champion. His PB=SB=16.97m, Ranked #28.
Final 3 Qualifying:
Yasser Mohamed Triki (ALG): Qualified as 1st Placed, 17.24m (wind speed = +0.1 m/s), (Round 1)
Andy Diaz (CUB): Qualified as 2nd Placed, 16.78m (wind speed = +0.3 m/s), (Round 1)
Tiago Pereira (POR): Qualified as 3rd Placed, 16.64m (wind speed = -0.5 m/s), (Round 3)
Final 3 Round:
Pereira (POR) missed the board and he got a Red Flag, an NM (No Mark) for him. Andy Díaz seemed to have an injury while sprinting down the runway and abandoned; as a consequence he got a Red Flag, an NM (No Mark).
Triki (ALG) had a good jump, 17.23m (wind speed = -0.5 m/s), and won the competition.
Triki a former NCAA Champion, competes with passion and leaves it all on the field, the Norwegian Fans appreciated that.
