I absolutely love your videos, they are so relaxing to watch. I wish you could do them more often. Its amazing how you take an uneven cake and it ends up so straight after youve decorated it, you would never know if you didn't watch the video, amazing! It takes me a while to get them straight even if cakes are level😂. Thank you for these videos, i look forward to seeing the next one. ❤xx
At that point there's no reason to, they're already cut and it'd just be a mess to take them apart. They still come out fine if you know what you're doing, she obv is good at leveling everything out.
You did beautifully on all of them but I think the last one was my fav !! The one you did that you put a small swipe of different buttercream colors randomly would have been so hard for me to do. It's like you aren't sure when it's too much or not enough but you rocked it!! Youre a legend for sure!!
Its so refreshing watching your video and so challenging. Everytime i watch, i feel like wanting to do mine though not in that field, i feel like knowing all in a time a switching. Thanks for the inspiration
I always thought cake layers had to be stacked straight before you frost. Guess I was wrong because, although these cakes look fabulous when you are finished, they look all wonky before you start.
Hahaha it’s definitely much better if the layers are straight but the staff member who stacked these cakes was new/ inexperienced! My job was to straighten them out while decorating!
how long did it take you to learn how to decorate cakes fast? cause I’ve been told at trails/interviews that i move slow or take my time when decorating cakes 😢😢
I'm shocked you can frost crooked cakes with buttercream. My experience has been that whipped icing is not a problem when it comes to icing crooked cakes because it's so light, but buttercream has always been too heavy and has only served to cause the cake to lean more as time goes on. I'm pretty impressed you can pull this off. 😃
They shouldn’t- the American buttercream is pretty solid! They’re so wonky because some of our staff isn’t as experienced hahahah. The cakes are stacked/ filled for me the day before!
How come you don’t straighten the cake before you put the buttercream on? When it’s cut someone will get lots of cake another will just get all buttercream
Cake was the Leaning Tower of Piza. You should always fix your lopsided cake BEFORE frosting it. I noticed that the frosting was also uneven especially on the top. Hmmm. Very interesting.
I must say I'd be so disappointed if I had paid money for these cakes, only to see just how wonky and uneven they were after slicing into them! Yes, some staff may not be as experienced as others, but surely there should be something in place to keep the cakes at a certain standard. People are paying for these! #cakecatfish
That looks like it was baked and stacked by a blindfolded 3 yr old in a rush 😬 If I worked as a baker/stacker and saw that this was my final product I'd lose sleep practicing or just quit because I'd be too embarrassed I was giving this to the decorator and the client. I'd have enough self awareness to know I was bad at it and enough respect for others to just leave. If I were the decorator (she does a great job), I'd snark and smack talk about the stackers under my breath lol Imagine someone cutting into this mess at their wedding or big birthday party. Visually unpleasant and guests will just be getting mouthfuls of blobs of sugar/icing.
What’s so hard about stacking a cake neatly. Even right when you start decorating, straighten it and press it down evenly. Some of us want more cake, not frosting
I just tried to watch a video where she decorates 6 cakes in TWO AND A HALF HOURS and she talked the entire time and i couldnt take it!! This is my speed!
This seems like a strange way to let the whole world know that you don’t know how to turn down the volume or turn off the sound on your device. Also, what video did she post that was 2.5 hours?
Once the cakes are stacked, there’s really nothing I can do to even them out unless I take them all apart and start the process over again- but that would waste all the filling. So I even out the shape with buttercream when I decorate them!
@@cakelegend don’t even try to explain to anyone who is trying to rip you apart! If it was me I would tell them where to go! A lesson in shutting their mouth if they don’t have anything nice to say would be in order here! :) I would love to line these people up at a table, give them a cake and say here - make it look perfect! Your time is now! And watch them try! It would be the funniest thing ever!
The end results are stunning but my freaking brain hates how uneven the cakes look before you frost them omg. xDD
It is such a pet peeve of mine to see someone starting with crooked cakes.. Yet the outcome is stunning! great work
I love that there's no annoying chatter or music. I leave my sound off 90% of the time because that stuff is too distracting for me. Love this.

A few of their cakes are lopsided I'm not sure why no one one fixes it.
That first one leaned in 3 directions, I swear.
The cakes get stacked/ filled the day before by other staff members (who aren’t as experienced but they do their best!)
