#7 Balloon Smash Acrylic pouring

- This was my first ballon smash pour I attempted.
Paints used were Global and colour's were:
Black,
purple,
turqoise,
Magenta,
Gold,
Light pink was made with white paint and magenta.
Pouring Medium was :
70% Glue
30% water
Paints were mixed with pouring medium:
50% paint
50% pouring medium
I think next time I'll try it without the black background to see what result I get. You can see my next result here: • #8 Balloon Smash Take 2

I love how the pink looks against the black! This piece is beautiful.
After my first attempt at this I started using a second canvas with just a base coat to press the balloon into before wiping it off. That way I get two paintings instead of wasting all that color. I've also used card stock as the second press and it makes a nice base for further techniques. Nice video. Thanks

I used to mix ink by hand for a living and was always amazed by the patterns created. Now I see a way to continue some of the creativity!

I do it all the time. Start with a stick then end up using my hand 😂
I made one and it was ssooooo gorgeous! My neighbor wanted to buy it--so I sold it!!!!! :)

I adored it at 3.50 then it got too busy for me. Sometimes less is more. But the pink and magenta carnation shapes to the left are to die for. A very exciting technique. Thanks

you should have another canvas next to you, so you do not loose so much paint. That is what I would do anyway.

What a great idea. I'd have the other canvas with white paint that way when the black hit it would create a different effect. I love it, it looks like flowers.

Beautiful! I've tried mallet smash but that didn't work - I got paint all over my kitchen. So I'll definitely try the "balloon smash" instead. And I'll have to look throught all your videos so thanks for sharing.

Loved it before the second application of paint; for me the negative space set off the shapes and colors beautifully at that pont, but what you did was unique as well.

As an experiment I think it's great. I do agree that it peaked around half way. It would be really interesting if some green leaf could be incorporated after the paint had dried. It could just be straight, grasslike stems and leaves.

I like this one with the black behind... I would have left some spaces without colour... just the black. Looks nice!!

The concentric colored circles would ask look good left on.( similar to a tole painting look). Great pallet!
