The Elie Dubois school, located in the center of Port au Prince, suffered serious damage due to the earthquake last year. The announcement of the contributions of a total of US$800,000 for reconstruction and new supplies to the school took place during a ceremony in the courtyard of the institution, with the participation of Haitian governmental authorities, guests of the international community, professors and students.
El proyecto de reconstrucción de la esuela Elie Dubois de Haití ya va tomando forma. Ayer, el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo y la Fundación Pies Descalzos de Shakira anunciaronque apoyarán al gobierno de Haití, en la reconstrucción de una histórica escuela pública de la capital haitiana.
La escuela Elie Dubois, situada en el centro de Puerto Príncipe, sufrió graves daños por el terremoto del año pasado. El anuncio de las contribuciones por un total de US$800.000 para obras de rehabilitación y reequipamiento de la escuela se realizó durante un acto en el patio de la institución, con la participación de autoridades del gobierno haitiano, invitados de la comunidad internacional, profesoras y alumnas.
