I started making a lavender wreath today , following your instructions.
Through your other videos Ive learned so much about types of lavenders and their uses.
Now I've discovered how to make a Lavender wand and these lovely little kitchen wreaths too!
Thanks for all of the ideas, information and tutorials ❤

That is beautiful! I've been growing lots of rosemary and am excited to make some wreaths out of it.

Just lovely!! I’m curious why you use jute rather than wire.

Jute is so forgiving and pliable, and the plants shrink as they dry so you can pull it snugly. I find wire cuts the stems too easily and when the wreath is dry, everything becomes loose.

I really like this all natural method rather than using moss or other greenery for the base. I'd like to do this craft for my garden club workshop coming up in January. Do you know how much herbs I'll need for 8-10 people to each do one? Also in January are there any farms that would have fresh herbs that could be shipped? I live in MD.

Great question! We are a Canadian farm, so you will need to look in your area.
If your wreath base is about the size of a dinner plate. Think of it as a clock face and use 24 small of your main herb. The others should be in small bundles of 12 or 6 for a uniform display. You can also do free form half wreaths and just work with the materials you can gather.

Do you dry the herbs first or just pick them and work them into the wreath?

@@ritagjefle3995 I prefer to use fresh herbs when I make a wreath. They are pliable and when you finish the wreath, you can adjust them into place. Then leave the wreath on a table for a couple of weeks to dry and they will keep their form.
