I installed a set of Aerolarri Hurricanes on my 23 c8 z51 and I love them…
Nice! Would love to see some pics of it (modips816@gmail.com if you wanna share). Aerolarri really has a lot of great options. I was so close to pulling the trigger on a set of their Multicave wheels. These Forgestars aren't bad but I'm not in love with them.
Upgrade your rotor's to slotted and drilled to expel gasses and push away brake dust.
Your car looks absolutely bad ass bro. This is the color I'm going with when I order mine hopefully in the next few months! Love the way it sounds and the wheels are spot on...I also want wheels easy to clean lol! Great job, looking forward to seeing the next mods!
Nice Ride! Could you pass along a link to the Z-51 Spoiler Wickers please Sir?
Thank you! Here is a link to the ones I bought. They are identical to the ACS Composite Z51 wickers. Even have identical directions included. I bought the expensive ACS wickers for my first C8 and came across these and figured I try them on this C8. If you search Amazon you can usually find them for under $100. There's multiple listings for the same wickers on there fyi.

Nice, i run the same ACS. I do have 20/21 rims set up and run the lowering springs and lowered on stock suspension but not all the way. very happy and in fact i added sway bars and i can tell you the car rides and handles like a real corvette now.Night and day difference. I think you'll like the addition off headers to your exhaust, keep the stock cats.
Hmm...installing the lowering springs isn't completely out of the question I suppose. The more I look at it I wish the rear end was just a tad bit lower. Noticeable difference after installing the sway bars huh? I'll have to look into that. I like the header suggestion as well.
I did the N/A build and thought why not, personally one off the biggest secretes not tapped, along with lowering springs makes the car a pleasure to drive.if you drive in track mode than you'll want to get some.FYI i took your advise on the lowering amount on Z51 suspension.I don't really post anything on line but i would like to contribute to the c8 community and currently working on posting something soon, just need some time to gather INFO/DATA ill send a link when ready

Just bought a 2023 Rapid Blue coupe with low spoiler. Does anyone know if it’s pre drilled if I want to replace it with a Z51 spoiler?
Pretty certain the low wing is installed with adhesive only and does not pre drilled holes. If you order the Z51 spoiler from GM it should come with a template.

Great looking C8..... I ordered the Rapid Blue as well December 2021. I am expecting a updatte within the month or so when it will start getting built. Can you post the link to the wingletts that you attached the Z51 Spoiler ( I like the way that it looks) going back and forth with this one or the high wing.
Congrats, it is well worth the wait. These are the ones I ordered (they're identical to the more expensive "Brand Name" ones).

Where did you get your carbon fiber? Is that a Pro Clip phone holder. Just a bit concerned that it is to gaudy?
All the interior carbon fiber I have now was purchased off ebay from jogon2013. I have a newer video showing some of it up close. I would recommend it. Wide assortment, decent quality, fair pricing and real carbon fiber overlays, not abs plastic with a carbon fiber print on top. The phone holder is a Pro Clip. I liked it the best for me out of all the ones I looked at. I normally wouldn't add a phone holder cause I don't like them clustering up the interior but my Iphone annoyed me so much rattling around in the cup holder. The phone holder built into the center console is just awkward to get to. The Pro Clip is removable and is just held on by leveraging a dash panel and wrapping around the info screen, no adhesive stuck to the interior and didn't have to stick anything to the back of my Iphone. It places the phone in a good spot and out of the way while still having good access to the phone screen. I can quickly glance at it when I'm on a rally and get info quick from cars that are ahead of me. It also gives me the perfect angle when recording in car videos. I'd recommend it.
the carbon fibre kick panel you're putting on where did you get them?

So when did you sell your white one? I believe you had one? It was gorgeous! question...if you order the carbon fiber pkg from GM, is it stick on or hard piece CF?
I sold my other one right before this one came in back in June of 22. That's a good question about the cf, I'd like to see what the back of those interior cf pieces look like. I'm sure it's an actual cf piece, just curious if you can see the weave or if it's laminated to plastic or something. Only cf part I've seen the back of was a targa top on a 21 C8 where the suede needed to be replaced due to sagging, when the suede was removed you could see the actual cf weave on the under side of the targa top.
@@eight16garage Got my order for the trim piece across the front. Very nice. Spoke to a GM Vette guy here and he said it is solid CF pieces from the factory order.
Love the way it turned out compared to how it originally looked. Curious if this was your first choice in color? I'm debating between this & the red mist. Gotta have the black wheels
Thank you. I had two colors I originally wanted, Rapid Blue and Ceramic Matrix Grey. I got lucky and found a CMG one that someone backed out of in 2021 that had red interior. Though I loved the CMG and it looked good, the red interior was a bit much for me after while. I got lucky again in 2022 and a local dealer had an allocation so I ordered this one. Being that I'd already had CMG, I had to go with RB. Red Mist is a beautiful color, especially when the sun light hits it. There really is no bad color when it comes to these cars.
On the titanium exhaust. Does it drone on the highway? I have high flow cats and valved exhaust and it sounds pretty good. The valving keeps the sound down on the highway with still no droning. However I’ve heard the non valved exhaust drones and it sounds different when you slip into v4 mode? Any info would be great.
There is a bit of drone, not all the time but when you you hit certain speeds and rpms. Kinda hard to explain but when the car is cruising and you're kind of in a lull, not really changing speed and the rpms are kinda stuck in a certain range for an extended period of time is when I notice it most if that makes sense. To combat that I usually just upshift it manually. You can certainly tell when it kicks in to V4 from inside the car.
I actually live close to TintingKC, I was wondering how much it cost you each for ppf, window tinting, and if you ended up getting it ceramic coated there or elsewhere, how much did that end up costing too? Do you plan to do any kind of interior protection as well? I'm on the waitlist for my C8. Been scoping out the area for where I want to get my car work done. Also, love what you have done with the car and great video.
Thanks for the compliment. For the PPF on the entire front end (bumper, chin spoiler, hood, fenders, headlights) mirrors, strip above windshield and ceramic tinting all the windows (except the engine window) it was about $2500. I highly recommend Tinting KC. Very professional and courteous. Did a solid job on the install and turn around time was super quick so I wasn't without the car for days. Ceramic coating it myself and don't plan on doing any interior protection other than some more PPF on the door sills. I believe The Fuel House is having a car meet this coming Saturday that I'm gonna attend if you're not busy and wanna come check out the car in person.
do u lower your car? or just change wheel?
It’s lowered on the factory Z51 suspension, also upsized the wheels and tires an inch front and back.
Corvettes website says that the 2023 C8 with the Z51 package will be rated at a top speed of a 185mph, but without it 195mph? Can someone explain.
Originally when C8's first came out, the C8's with Z51 supposedly didn't achieve the same top speed as the base C8 due to excess drag created by the extra aerodynamics that came with the Z51 package. But Z51 C8's were supposed to have better handling and performance gains for track days and winding road driving. Probably not a noticeable difference for most. Also it was said that the Z51 C8's could achieve the 0-60 times under 3 seconds where as the base C8's supposedly could not.
I like the look of the rocker extensions, but was concerned they might interfere with legs and feet getting in and out of the car. Do yours stick out far enough to hit your legs upon entry or exit?

@@eight16garage I did order ACS and received. Found some for $160 and ordered them. They were not good. Carbon flash was flashless and the backs weren't fully painted! Sent back! My '23 Z51 is due in April! Ive purchased a few things that I want installed ASAP. Grille guards, found some very reasonable. Love those wickers, I will look into other options! Did you install mud guards? ACS seems to have some nice ones. Not to bulky. I like things you post too. Thanks.
@@ronvaughn6006 The wickers I tried off amazon matched the carbon flash on the car very well. They were identical in shape, size, hardware instructions and they were a fraction of the price of the ACS ones I purchased for my first C8. I think the ACS wickers have come down a bit in price but they were still $500 when I was looking at them for this C8. I just wanted people to know there are other options. I haven't installed mud guards on this C8 and I don't know if I will or not. I don't think they look bad at all I just don't feel the need for them yet. Thanks for watching.
Not sure why you did not get a valved aftermarket exhaust since you the NPP option so you can close and open the values? Any advantage on going with a non-valved aftermarket exhaust for a NPP factory exhaust?
I don't know that there's any advantage, but the company I went with for my exhaust doesn't have a valved option. I prefer it to be loud all the time anyhow!
Thanks. I see having it loud all of time. Are you familiar or have you heard of the C8 NPP Exhaust Mild 2 Wild control unit that allows you to open the Exhaust at a certain RPM using a remote control? I wonder if this might increase the loudness on the NPP and maybe alleviate the need for aftermarket exhaust.
@@elvin5848 I have heard of it. Have yet to see one on a C8 in person. IDK that it would make the exhaust louder per se. But it would probably allow the valves to be fully open at speeds, rpms and driving modes when it normally wouldn't be.
Just a follow-up, have you heard of the MBRP C8 exhaust? It appears to have a pretty good sound without adding any power gains, but at a very affordable price in the same price range as the C8 factory performance exhaust.
@@elvin5848 Yes I have heard of MBRP. Haven't heard one of their exhausts on a C8 in person though. I've used their exhausts on a couple of Mustangs in the past and I was happy with them. They weren't nearly as loud as like a Corsa or Borla Atak but they still sounded good.
Just a thought because I’m wrestling with getting C8 1LT vs 2LT. Did you go thru this decision process and why you decided to go with an 1LT twice? For me, I think I’ll go with an 1LT because I am planning to mod it a lot like you did and I really care more about Performance than nice-to-have options. I rather use the extra money on performance parts.
Those were my exact same thoughts on getting a 1LT. Also for my "fun" car I've learned I like them a little more raw and less optioned. IDK why, I guess I'm weird like that. I just don't need all the extra fancy stuff. No hate on others that want those options, they're just not for me.
Thanks for your candid thoughts. I feel pretty much the same way - just a “raw” car w/o all of the bells and whistles!
If you track it less is more! If you wand a luxury sports car that can track, cruise or travel cross country 2LT all the way. Never track a base. Z51 is for performance use.
Just got my 1LT Z51 last weekend and couldn't be happier with my decision. Coming from an S2000 for my weekend car, I wanted to keep it as "raw" as possible. For me it just adds to the character.

How does the car ride lowered on the Z51 suspension? Thinking about doing the same on mine (Z51, non-mag ride) but don't want to sacrifice any comfort/handling.
My 23 C8 is lowered on the factory Z51 suspension and I honestly can't tell much of a difference in ride quality with it being lowered compared to stock ride height. I will say I felt really confident in the handling taking some sharp winding roads on a rally I did a few weeks ago. The car just stuck to the road. Plus lowering with factory suspension and doing a 20/21 inch wheel setup is perfect. No rubbing in the wheel wells and hardly any scraping the front splitter on steep inclines. Sometimes you still have to take the inclines at a slight angle. On my first C8 I lowered it with Paragon springs with some HRE's and factory tires and it really didn't change the ride quality for the most part except when hitting bigger transitions in the road. It was way more harsh but I had it about as low as it would go. I also had to be careful with the front end on that one. I would like my 23 C8 just a tad lower but to me it's not worth sacrificing the ride quality like I did on my 21 C8 for that absolutely perfect lowered look. I'm telling you do a 20/21 inch wheel tire setup and lower it on the Z51 suspension. It's a really good combo.
@@eight16garage thanks for the response. Appreciate all the information. I already have my aftermarket wheels in factory specs, so I won't be going to a 20/21" setup anytime soon. Also, tires are already expensive enough for the factory wheels, haha. Yours looks fantastic though!
@@anthonykiedis1765 Thanks, nothing wrong with a 19/20 inch setup at all, they look just as good. I hear you on tire prices sheesh!
How much lower did you get with the factory suspension..I have non mag and bought the lowering springs.do you think I’ll achieve about the same look you have with the paragon springs?
Just by adjusting the factory coilovers I got the car about 3/4 of an inch lower. This is also a non mag ride car and I bought the PP lowering springs as well but opted not to use them for now. If you install the springs you'll definitely be able to get the same look. You'll also be able to go a bit lower even.

@@vertisjohnson219 That is a very common question/argument. Tough to answer. I've had 2 C8's and both have had the Z51 option. I can't speak from experience in regard to not having the option. What I can say for me is I wanted the Z51 option for a multitude of reasons. Mostly those listed in the Pros below and a few other reasons. Take a look at the following link and read some of the opinions. Hope it helps.
www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c8-general-discussion/4566678-z51-or-not.html
Part of the opinions in the thread:
Z51 Pros
High performance "Summer Only" tires
Performance rear axle ratio (higher numerically) =quicker acceleration
Bigger Brakes.
ELSD.
Aero Bits. (I'd say this doesn't really apply anymore for Z51 and non Z51)
Non Z51 Pros
All Season Tires
Lower Numerical Rear Axle Ratio.. = higher top speed, better fuel economy
No Aero Bits = easier to hand wash. =higher top speed
Cheaper to own AND operate.
