A great use of some light weight material for a large chicken tractor and using what you still had on hand. My only concern for you is how your going to get them out when it is time to go to freezer camp. 😆
Very good point. Just the other night we decided to move them back into the barn due some wet, cold weather moving through. And Karen and I had to use a broom to herd them toward the opening. Not a big deal, just looked really funny. 😂
Just harvested our first batch of meat birds and had no predator issues at all. Really happy with how it turned out. A bit heavier than I thought it might be but I can still pull it with relative ease. We did have the tractor within 60 yards of our cabin so we may inadvertently kept the coyotes at bay. Next batch we are going to move them out into a further away pasture. Thank you!
@@TheLittleOrchardFarm I think we are going to try this build but a bit bigger for our 100 meat birds coming in august. We will probably still have an electric fence around though. We have predators in our area.
Love everything you have done on your homestead coming together nice.
Thank you!
That's a novel way of putting a drain on your chicks.👍
Too funny, Cutter. Hopefully they won't drain my wallet! 😂

@@MeganHurst Good luck. And I think the electric fence is a great idea.
