Air Canada Safety video (Airbus A319) Circa 2007 - 20XX New AC 787 Dreamliner • New Air Canada 787 Dre... Full Credit goes to the airline. www.aircanada.c... NEW 777-300ER SAFETY VIDEO • Video
I wish they kept this one. As a Canadian who lived in Ontario, this was our #1 airline for getting from Toronto to Winnipeg as well as to California, and I always was relaxed by this safety video
this brings back memories man... flying into edmonton in an a320, looking outside while its completely dark out, and the quietness of the plane with the low hum of those beautiful engines, i miss it
I applaud Air Canada for making one safety video in both official languages together, one following the other with each instruction. Most other airlines make one video in English and one in the language of the country. Air Canada combining the two languages this way is brilliant because it means the video needs to only be played onboard once, and also it [inadvertently] encourages passengers to learn the corresponding words/phrases in the other official language they may not be fully fluent in.
An Air Canada disaster helped inspire the invention of the escape path lighting system. A plane had to make an emergency landing and the cabin started filling with smoke from a mysterious fire. Only a little more than half of the passengers on board made it off the plane. The rest were still trapped inside when flames suddenly shot through the fuselage. The people on board when that happened all perished. They couldn't see where the exits were, and this was before the EPL system was invented. In fact, it was this incident that sparked the invention of that system, and now most modern aircraft have it!
@@dagoose.”Project XM” as it was called started in 2006, and it was a big deal at the time. A320 Fin 238 was first to go through it, and the A330’s were last. The 777’s and Embraers (and most of the Jazz RJ’s) came from the factory with them installed. It lags now compared to modern systems, but it’s still better than staring at the back of someone’s head.
Oh the nostalgia- I remember watching this on several flights to Fort Lauderdale… The video was always interrupted by crew messages. This may have been made in 2007 but it’s still one of the best safety videos made
What song is that playing in the background? I remember being so happy when i was about to fly air canada for the first time when i was little i actually sang it lol
I find it odd that AC used an E175/E190 for the cabin, but the walls are from a Boeing jet? Also noticed that the cabin is supposed to mimic a widebody? And the oxygen mask scene shows a 767...

TheHaibao123 that was a disaster and a few people didn't make it off the plane before the fire shot through the fuselage, but its because of what that flight lacked that the FPL was invented. I find the FPL very useful, and that flight didn't have it because it didn't exist back then!
TheHaibao123 one of the passengers who perished in the fire that shot through the plane was a celebrity in the world of folk music. He will be greatly missed...
+323superdude Got to see it for the first time on my trip to Edmonton. I, as well, liked the older one more. The music was really fitting & the overall presentation felt more polished.
Regular Air Canada is MUCH better than Rouge. Air Canada Rouge is one of the worst branches of that airline. No IFE systems, barely any legroom, questionable service...not good if you're flying across the Atlantic! Even flying in an Air Canada Express/Jazz turbo prop is better than flying with freakin' ROUGE!!!
323superdude good to know...if you're flying in a JET! Air Canada Express's turbo props don't have an onboard wifi service. Same goes for WestJet Connect, the onboard wifi system for WestJet. Only the jets have wifi on board, so you can't go online while flying with WestJet Encore
English subtitle is correct, but French part is not correct at all. I would like to learn french. . I will thank if someone makes it correct. The man's voice is soooo beautiful.
HockeyLife 8 Get lost you Canada stereotyper we don't say eh after every sentence we only say it on some occasions. God you White Americans are so annoying.

Sadly keeping this video up to today would get Air Canada sued in no time due to lack of multiculturalism.
Everytime I fly by Air Canada, I love the safety video's melody...One of the most beautiful we can hear.
Wow 6 years later
I wonder the name of the score music is after watching this video.

realish786 yeah, not to mention it's thanks to Air Canada flight 797 that we have the Escape Path Lighting system!
They don’t have a choice. It’s regulated.

Was it about AC797?
Who did the woman's voice? She has unbelievably perfect diction.
Who cares

My childhood in a nutshell, when those seatback screens on the A320s came out it was legendary
When did they start introducing those screens on the a320s, they seem really dated now

Why does this automatically relax me? I miss this safety video when flying AC 😫
Will never experience this again ever. *Tears start to drip*
Congrats on 100K views on this! And I miss this playing on my flight.

This safety video was my childhood back in 2008! :-)
this is one of the best and the most elegant safety videos
I prefer this video over the current one
The new safety video is garbage compared to this iconic video
Saw this on my flight to Heathrow from St Johns!
Pokemario Fan saw this video on my flight from Toronto to New York City!
Always loved the sound of her voice... Kind of miss it now!

Superspeed328 beats Air Canada Rouge, that's for sure...
i saw this video in late 2010 :)
This video reminds me of lovely travel to Canada.
The second language is French Because Canadas main languages are English and French
@323superdude Really appreciate it! Thanks for bring me back the wonderful memories everytime I fly in the sky.
I love this video melody
I remember this video flying as a kid

Somebody said the French speaking safety explanations are annoying, but I love it...
mshayashi French is the other main language spoken in Canada. Everyone in the Provence of Quebec speaks it!
A lot of French is annoying. Mais qu'est ce qu'on peut faire?
I find it odd that AC used an E175/E190 for the cabin, but the walls are from a Boeing jet?

Étant un amoureux de l’avion ça me rappelle mon dernier voyage en 2012 pour NY avec Air Canada
Ahhh... the classic AC safety video
They would play this while they would start the engines, but you can hardly hear it because the engines are too loud
First name Last name not if they're Rolls-Royce engines. Those are nice and quiet!
Air Canada will normally use General Electric engines, don't know why.

I like this one better than the newest one. :)

+323superdude well Air Canada filed a copyright claim on it. Typical Air Canada.
323superdude yeah, I tried to view it but it was blocked on copyright grounds. Yeah, thanks a lot Air Canada!

It's too bad WestJet doesn't have the option of safety videos...
They do 😈
@@canadianaviator They did not at the time of the comment. WestJet only got a safety video when the 787 entered service in 2019
