Most definitely! I sub to jon just because of this and throwback Thursdays. I don't like the random pack boxes put together by ebayers. Stuff like this and 90s insert heavy stuff is where it's at!

Enjoyed watching you rip those packs. For me it brings back great memories. I still collect to this day but some of the product out there is beyond ridiculous when it comes to price. I will buy packs here and there but mostly stick to getting singles. There is a card shop down the road which is about a 2-3 min drive that I've been going to since the late 80s and I started bringing my oldest boy since 2010 or so down there. He's a huge basketball fan and sticks to that which is fine. Good thing is getting him introduced to the hobby which he loves. Maybe one day if he has a family he can bring his kid(s) along and show them the fun of collecting and ripping open packs hoping for that special auto etc....

The old Upper Deck foil packs. Big time nostalgia at its finest. Got 2 boxes of this for Christmas with the World Series Baseball from the strike year. It was packaged up like a gift set.

Problem with some of those late 90s finest were too many designs. Didn't feel like a cohesive set, more a series of subsets.

The cards don't dictate why TPIA is such a great ride. Without sounding too swashbuckling, Jon you mizewell face it- you are rife with pure entertainment value.

Loved the David Cone in that upper deck pack. Always love seeing a card of Coney because it gives me the opportunity to share one of my favorite baseball stories ever. Yogi Berra and Steinbrenner had a falling out at one point and Berra didn't got to the stadium for years. One day, in July of 1999, The Yankees invited number 8 Yoga Berra to the stadium for Yogi Berra Day. Don Larsen, only man to throw a WS perfect game, was there to throw the first pitch to Yogi. Ceremonies over, the game starts, and David Cone, with Don Larsen and number 8 (remember the number) Yogi Berra in attendance, throws a perfect game on, you guessed it... 88 pitches.
To quote Brad Pitt in Moneyball, "How can you not be romantic about baseball?"

I found some unopened 2010 upper deck series 1 baseball... absolutely beautiful quality.
Those are some of my favorite cards of all time. The only thing that comes close anymore is Stadium Club. Both products unfortunately don't seem to hold much value, but I really like looking at em.
@@muddro420 loved Stadium Club back in the day. I still got some of those First Day Issue cards in my collection....Bonds, F. Thomas, Clemens just to name a few. Those were a hot commodity back then...

Well that was fun. I don't know how you could consistently come up with random openings such as this one but if you can then by all means. I loved the Laser at the time even at $5/per.
