Sayo-nara sounds so good here! It sounds comforting and peaceful in a way. I could almost imagine hearing this version come on in an alternate ending where you gently open the door... ...to find Sayori asleep in her bed, blissfully unaware of how worried her childhood friend is, or of the horrible turn that things might have taken for her in another timeline.💙

I literally had nightmares after that scene. Couldn't sleep, woke up every hour sweating. Last time I had nightmares was many many years ago. But it was only that hanging scene, rest of the game wasnt scary for me, idk.

Have any of you noticed that everyone’s names BUT Monikas end with a Yori sound or something similarly sounding ? SayYORI YURI NatSUKI and then Monika. I think Dan Salvato did this because Monika stands out from the rest. She is self aware and is very different in a lot of ways to the others. She was made and was trying to get your attention this whole time. Her name is different so you subconsciously see her differently and get a vibe from her, Even in a LOT of the songs in the OST have the piano in it. And the piano is Monikas instrument. She was grabbing your attention from the start and you didn’t even know it. It’s why I love Monika so much. I love self aware characters. She is HEAVILY misinterpreted. She deserves a lot more love. Monika is also the only one that directly faces the camera in any of her sprites and is the only one with a natural hair colour- Sayori's is still pink
For anyone seeing this in the far future, this represents an era gone by. A time when passion is how games were made. A time when people cared about what they made. A time when we could all be free. Companies are getting greedier and greedier by the day, and I don’t know if things will get better. From the past, I wish you good luck, and a great life to you!
Guys let me tell you something... You know how at the start of the game you see Monika in the menu, but, you can't see her different stockings or you don't notice that her hair or her eyes or her name are supposed to be different from others. And in your first playthrough you don't notice that she is the only one that is front-facing you in the game. But when Sayori dies you can see parts of Monika, Yuri and Natsuki glitched in the place where Sayori was supposed to be. The thing is that Monika has more visible parts of herself in that glitched mess. And you can actually see her stockings this time. And when you write your poems in act 1 Monika is never there as a chibi and basically there's no Monika route. But in act 2 there's a chance that when writing a peom you will see a little part of Monika's chibi jumping at the down side of the screen. Also in act 2 I think Monika starts becoming more noticeable. In act 1 there were barely any scenes with Monika, but in act 2 she started getting more mentioned and started popping up in more conversations. And in act 3... You know, Just Monika. So my point is that slowly Monika lets you know that she's more important and unique than the rest... I never thought of that before so I decided to share it here lol.
Even though it's been about 7 years since DDLC released and 5 years since this channel was active, I'll probably always come back to listen to this mix, made from a great game.
That brings so much memories.. I remember playing that game when i was 10.. now I'm 13 and i still love that game.. That is the best visual novel i've ever played. Thank you, Dan.. That's the best psychological horror to be honest..
Oh I've only found it when I was 10 and started loving it now, I'm 11. This whole collection gives me a really odd feeling like if it's comforting but also has this odd feeling of fear with it that I can't move past it's so calming but especially with your reality it makes me feel as if I'm trying to comfort myself from something really awful

It's interesting the way the second song is done. The origional has notes off from the key signature to give an uncomfortable feel, but by turning them into jazz chords, which often break key, they feel more natural. It's a really nice adaptation.
For the people who either think ddlc is dead and or have moved on from it: When i was 11, the game came out, i was entralled, why? Who knows. It wasnt the fact of beautiful women, it was the lore vids, made by matpat, the dark story behind the friendly facade. Overtime i noticed this game kept following me around for the next 7 years, not tormenting me (yes i know this sounds like a creepy pasta but its true). No matter if i forgot the game, i couldnt go a single year without seeing ddlc, the characters, or merchandise. My local spencers (at that time) was selling ddlc merch, then youtooz as i got older, until now. Im 18 and a half now, and i recently bought a monika shirt that says delete on it, i saw it at a second hand store, and i just bought it. Has the game stopped following me now? No, infact it follows me more, but then again, i also seek it. We all have the power to seek out something subconciously. So if anyone stumbles upon this comment, or anything, any game you play, know the fanbase isnt totally dead, these 4 idiots live on in some hearts, and maybe their story is over, but yours isnt, so keep living it and dont stop till your story is over❤

Im gonna like, but i already had all of these songs and more on a playlist prior to seeing this vid, so ima stick with that cuz i can choose ehat i wanna listen to easier lol, and they are in the order im used to..... lol, take my like tho, i really respect this, i LOVE Ddlc and it makes me so happy to know others do too, its quite the under rated game
you gently open the door once again to sayori's room, however this time you don't shudder when you remember what happened the last time you did this. You don't spiral into a break down, instead you look back as nostalgia hits you with the fund memories of when you did spend time with her, in this room, walking to school, in your room, when you first met, and even when she was at the club. You decide from now on you're not only gonna visit her room every morning, like she would've wanted from the beginning, but you're gonna treasure every friend you have from now on. You walk out to school alone once again... no.. not alone, she's still here with you, just in memory.. you walk to school together and get ready for the club meeting after.

I have done a lot of research, and yes, she is kinda misunderstood, but i understood in my first playthrough, though Yuri is still best girl, Monika is definitely the most human out of them all

And also, that Yuri is the actual problem why Monika had to kill them, the book she was reading, and she has the 3rd eye, which was the 3rd eyes problem, if Monika didn't kill them, the same thing would happen, of the 3rd eye, of course. (The last one is just a theory of mine.)

For anyone seeing this in the far future, this represents an era gone by. A time when passion is how games were made. A time when people cared about what they made. A time when we could all be free. Guys let me tell you something...
You know how at the start of the game you see Monika in the menu, but, you can't see her different stockings or you don't notice that her hair or her eyes or her name are supposed to be different from others. And in your first playthrough you don't notice that she is the only one that is front-facing you in the game. But when Sayori dies you can see parts of Monika, Yuri and Natsuki glitched in the place where Sayori was supposed to be. The thing is that Monika has more visible parts of herself in that glitched mess. And you can actually see her stockings this time. And when you write your poems in act 1 Monika is never there as a chibi and basically there's no Monika route. But in act 2 there's a chance that when writing a peom you will see a little part of Monika's chibi jumping at the down side of the screen. Also in act 2 I think Monika starts becoming more noticeable. In act 1 there were barely any scenes with Monika, but in act 2 she started getting more mentioned and started popping up in more conversations. And in act 3... You know, Just Monika. So my point is that slowly Monika lets you know that she's more important and unique than the rest... I never thought of that before so I decided to share it here lol.

When i was 11, the game came out, i was entralled, why? Who knows. It wasnt the fact of beautiful women, it was the lore vids, made by matpat, the dark story behind the friendly facade.
Overtime i noticed this game kept following me around for the next 7 years, not tormenting me (yes i know this sounds like a creepy pasta but its true). No matter if i forgot the game, i couldnt go a single year without seeing ddlc, the characters, or merchandise. My local spencers (at that time) was selling ddlc merch, then youtooz as i got older, until now. Im 18 and a half now, and i recently bought a monika shirt that says delete on it, i saw it at a second hand store, and i just bought it. Has the game stopped following me now? No, infact it follows me more, but then again, i also seek it. We all have the power to seek out something subconciously.
So if anyone stumbles upon this comment, or anything, any game you play, know the fanbase isnt totally dead, these 4 idiots live on in some hearts, and maybe their story is over, but yours isnt, so keep living it and dont stop till your story is over❤

This is my final goodbye to the Literature Club.
I finally understand The Literature Club is truly a place where no happiness can be found. To the very end, it continued to expose innocent minds to a horrific reality - a reality that our world is not designed to comprehend. I can't let any of my friends undergo that same hellish epiphany.

Honestly at the same time she could have just deleted them frame one 😔I feel like its a lot of effort to try n still keep everyone around and keep the main player all to yourself. THOUGH WITHOUT the events of what took place we wouldnt have such a wonderful game.
