For me, from a guy point of view, the way Mimitaya would deal with a confession, wouldn't that just make it even more awkward? I feel like, if a close friend confessed they must have holding these thought for a while right? For the other party to just ignore it and pretend it never happened, is a colder rejection than being actually rejected itself. To me that would be hell of a lot more awkward and might actually make me unable to continue the friendship compared to if I was rejected properly, cus at least then theres a sort of closure and we both can move on.

True but its better to confess than to bottle it up . What happens next is entirely up to the people involved whether if they're mature enough or not to handle the situation. On the event that if there's a rejection and they handle it immaturely, then the rejection will justify itself (both sides).
