Hey! So I plan on doing this, you used gen 1 heads correct?

Awesome! It’s definitely a good upgrade. Yes, I reused my Gen 1 heads after taking them to a machine shop to get cleaned up.

Great content. I just spun a rod bearing on my gen 1 Coyote. I'm interested in going with the gen 3 short block and gen 1 heads and valve train. I have a couple of questions. 1. Does the gen 3 short block come with the oil pump? If not can I use the gen 1 pump and pickup? 2. Does all of the gen 1 timing parts work? Including the crank sprocket and balancer? 3. Do I have to use gen 1 head bolts? or will gen 3 head bolts work? Thanks!!!

Definitely encourage doing the Gen 3 shortblock swap. Great bang for the buck.
      1. Yes it comes with the Gen 3 oil pump which includes the plastic oil pan and oil pickup.
      2. Gen 1 timing absolutely works with it. Gen 1 or Gen 2 heads work as well. Yes including CSK&OPG.
      3. Gen 1/3 share the same 12mm head studs. Highly encourage getting ARP head studs if you do a Gen 3 shortblock swap.

@@vonlipichracing251 For (3) Not all Gen 1s use 12mm head studs. The 13/14 Gen 1 use 11mm. Just for someone reading this.
