Alag alag situation ke liye alag alga mic bhi use hote hai (similar jaise camera mein different lens use hote hai according to what's required). Later sound clean kari jaati hai software ke through. Aur kayi jagah ADR use hota hai yaani studio mein dialogue ko dobara sync mein rakh kar record kara jaata hai. If you're asking for your projects I'll recommend buying any rode boom mic (or using the one you already have) and place it on a stick over the characters. It gives decent audio quality. You can then use audacity software (or any high end ones) to remove noise in audio.
