I traveled to Tampa all the way from California this last summer... picked up my new RV from lazydays. It was awesome seeing you drive around the location as it reminded me of my awesome journey there.
Glad you folks got out in the camper. Too bad that part of the country is getting hit with so much bad weather. Lower 40's here in the Pacific Northwest. Still got some rain though.
I'm a new subscriber and enjoyed y'alls video very much. However, as I'm in North Carolina and haven't seen temps over 30°F during the day and temps as low as 5°F at night for the past 4-5 days, I couldn't help but laugh when y'all said it was freezing at 59°!!! That's tank top and shorts weather for me right now! Y'all stay warm!
We get that a lot... I guess most people hate the saints. I became a diehard fan after our many trips to Biloxi, Ms and New Orleans. We also bought a small piece of land in Gulfport to park RV on. And I hate the local team, the Falcons. I turned my husband (Jydog) into a fan, although reluctantly at first.
Really digging your box van. I'm doing something similar. Posting pictures on ig mostly.. Also, I'm new to Georgia. Great state to do full time! Cheers
Your truck campervan could carry bikes, or a moped to get around once at a stop, and short enough to tow another car. I see the top is accessible to placing solar panels too. Thank you for sharing.. Sadly FL. tourist bureau does a lot of false advertising regarding temps. OF course if you are traveling down from up N..then FL's winter temps (anything under 70') feels good.
Great video. You did a fantastic job building that box truck camper. I would love to have it. Great for one person, but it works for an overnight hotel for 3 tho. Happy New Year.
What a great family weekend. I enjoyed seeing you interact with your family. Hayden is as tall as you are, looks like the Murphy Bed worked out good. 🍀
If I had your boxtruck set up I would ditch the murphy-bed and buy a cheap ( fixer-upper) pop-up trailer for your kid, it gives you and the wife privacy and him his own room.
Hi and happy new year from San bernardino CA I have seen another you tuber do this have you thought about putting a slide out in your rv? If there was a way to get a slide out to work you could increase the room on the inside. Take care like your videos Jim
Great video, great family, hot mom. What chassis is your Ford? 250, 350, etc.? Do you plan to do a custom paint on your van? One heater I always suggest is one of the oil filled radiator heaters. Takes a while to heat up but really great at maintaining a constant temp and you don't have to worry about CO2. The downside is the fact if you have a small space, they are a little big but under 40 bucks and last forever.
Awesome build and great trip to warmer weather! My wife is recovering from a knee replacement surgery so in a few weeks when she is able we are heading to Florida too! Can’t wait to take our new Chateau sprinter on our first trip out of the Kentucky area especially since it’s so cold now. Great job on the DIY camper. What kind of fuel economy are you getting on the open highway?
Hello there hello there I'm building an RV saw some of the stuff you did just curious how somebody gets a hold of you to kind of pick your brain email text phone whatever please let me know thanks
That horse trailer "better built than an Airsream?" Don't think so...it's probably better built than anything the huge Forest River conglomerate (various RV brands) makes, but not better than Airstream. -- BR
.......not lovin' the way the mom sat in back, while the teenage son (?) sat in 'her' seat........he didn't seem real sociable anyway and it was inappropriate for her to be speaking out of a 'black hole' while trying to communicate with her husband........really, the husband should have honored his wife and relocated his son to the back.......thatz how it looked to me.......just sayin'.
Hi, I'm the mom and I actually chose to sit in the back in the nice recliner with all my stuff around me (charger, etc). I also wanted my son in the front seat because we felt it might be safer. As to being unsociable, he is an awesome kid and very sociable. He is currently the lead in two plays, and has a personality everyone loves. As to camping, I'll admit, not his favorite thing to do, but I'm sure he will look back on these trips as fun. Just wanted you to know it wasn't a matter of disrespect to the "mom", but thanks for looking out and watching our video :)
Hi Angel. That's a real nice family you've got there. I love the camper, but good weather is always more fun than bad weather. Best of luck in the new year. And please tell your hubby that I consider this video to be one of his best.
As a kid who camps/travels often with his folks, my mom also prefers lounging in the back and reading which puts me upfront to talk with dad, read the map (how's that for crazy), and actually interact with my surroundings as opposed to being "in the blackhole" with my smartphone and earbuds like most kids.
Well, he seemed completely disinterested and bored...didn't appear into this "family outing" at all. Lots of body-language saying he rather be someplace else... -- BR

That Chair looks real Comfortable, was glad to see seating for all
I enjoyed your video quite a bit! I got a kick out of the Murphy bed tryout! Hayden seems like a great kid!
Making memories with your family, That is how it should be!
"I only show the cool stuff." :D These kind of moments are what makes a channel interesting. Thanks.
Great video..thanks for taking us along for the trip...love your camper

"You're not being filmed right now" hahaha Is she mad now? Great trip. Thans for sharing.
It's so nice to be real, close family.
You've got the Best Rig Ever! Just please put some non-slip stuff on your steps!
I know that area well enough been to that hard rock with my family they have a good security there.
You said it was $55 A night? Excellent post. Loved the family time. BTW your fall on the step is how my brother messed his back up.

Lol glad you can laugh about the fall. Love the camper truck
Tampa has changed since I grew up going there on weekends. If you want quiet heat get a small radiator heater.
Happy New Year JYDOG family. The van seems to be the ticket. Great build i am sure it will inspire some ppl.
Great camper ..awesome size you can park anywhere ..cute wife ....you guys should get out in the camper more often
I'm happy for y'all. And you are very close to my location.
What?? Saints Fan??? I think ya hit your head, when you fell coming out of the camper😀 Loved this episode! Keep up the good work!!

Your best video, happy New year
Nice job jydog. I really like ur vid and i enjoined the drone vids..

In every movie when they say "It could be worse, it could be raining!" it rains.
drone skills are on point
You might be able to modify the heater fan to run at a slower speed instead of turning off :)
Good drone shots . Ya pay big bucks 4 those Rigs , try an get repair anywhere U.S.A.
Cool video y’all was about a hour from me nice ride
The fall was a Classic!...

Your Boxcar RV is cool.
Nice camper van just perfect tall and kinda short could have rounded the end corners a bit...have you registered your design yet?
