- I thought I’ll do something different for Thrifty Thursday and Thrifty Canucks. I have found a couple of big dictionaries with up to 6 inch spines! I love these old books. I found all of them in thrift stores.

Love old books 📖❤
These are why I love books! Just to hold them look at them is to partake in history. Wonderful idea to display them in your living room. Truly treasures. Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
Marnel your love for these huge dictionaries shows how special you are as a person. History in your hands. If only the books could speak. Missing you… hope you’re not ill. Blessings to you from me.
I can see why these books spoke to you!!!🥰🥰🥰 Thank you for sharing them with us!!
The dictionaries are very special. The color prints in them are so vibrant. Wow.
Wow! What a collection! They aren’t just decor they are almost furniture! Thanks for sharing with us.
Oh wow, what a gorgeous collection of old Dictionaries!
Books and musical instruments are my favorite decor. Thank you.
Wow, what beautiful collection of old dictionaries you have.
Thanks Marnel for sharing, I have never seen such big dictionaries. Merci!
Your dictionaries and Bible are beautiful!
A great collection Marnel 🤗❤️ It’s great that they are part of your decor.
Hi Marnel, wow, giant sized books!! Lovely sunny room too 😀👍🌞💛
Omg 😲 🥰🥰😍😍😍😍🥰love them ❤ thanks for sharing 👍
Beautiful dictionaries Marnel. I love that you have them stacked in your living room to see and be admired.❤️ I have a friend who has a lovely wooden podium with her big dictionary on it. She changes the page every day and has it on display. I'll show you my one big beautiful dictionary next time you are over. I got it about 12 years ago. It's a beautiful green covered one.
The bible is so special too! I hit return too soon! The print is fantastic.
Wow! You have some wonderful oversized dictionaries!! I think I have one and it isn't that old. I don't see them that much around here. You have them beautifully displayed! Thanks for sharing!
I love this video. Those are incredible and that is an amazing collection. I would have a hard time cutting those up too.
Love your collection. That Bible is really cool. Our books have increased pretty high in price too. For some reason the prices of dictionaries are extremely high. Like you said they much have caught on to what we are doing. 💕
such awesome books,
A lovely collection! I have several myself and one that I have been slowly using in my art. I hope your children have an interest in these books, otherwise I would suggest start using them, LOL The first page is the hardest...You can also scan those old pages that are prior to1927 as that is public domain. The German book may be Mennonite German? Very common to find those books in Manitoba. I have used lots over the years. what fun!
❤
Hi! I just happened to come across your video and had to tell you that your bible is Norwegian! Very cool👌🏼 Greetings from Oslo, Norway
Thank you for letting me know!!
Hello from Saskatchewan.👋🏻😊 The Bible is written in High German in a script that is called Fraktur. It is not Mennonite German as one of your other comments suggested as Mennonites speak Low German dialects that have influences from Dutch, German, Polish and Ukrainian. Interestingly the Fraktur script was banned by the Nazis. There is your history lesson for today.😃
Thank you. Interesting! I need to research it for sure!
I sent you an Email.
