I have something to say it’s not about the video it’s about using airguns for self defense is a bad thing I hope people reading this don’t use it or they will regulate them and be hard to buy them use a tazar or a special airgun for self defense it is designed for home defense using a 177 or 22 or 25 or 357 is bad please people don’t people we already have enough trouble with firearms
@@armandoestrada9085 Agreed. You will never see anything on my channel about using airguns as tools for self defense nor used against people. It is a bad look for our sport and I see these as tools for hunting and marksmanship.

I own 3 hatsan products. Blitz 30, 25 ,and a jet 2. Great guns at a great price.
That big slug is slow enough that a deer can jump the shot as the sound will get there first at ranges over 100 yards it appears.
it might flinch a little but a deer cant move fast enough to get out of the way of something moving 800fps
@@coryb6722 You must not have much hunting experience if you believe that. They won't be able to move out of the way at under 50 yards with a slug that slow, but at 100 or more like I posted, yes, they can jump the shot. 800 fps @the muzzle is a lot less at the target, like 600 or a bit less at 100+. If you can see the projectile moving through the air with your naked eye like we can here, a deer can jump it just from the sound reaching it first.
Yes but the .457cal.shoots alot flatter and faster. With 200grns.your shooting pretty fast havnt ran mine a cross the crony yet.

@@404nitro no, deer aren't going to move out of the way if the projectile is moving 800fps... You can also see .22 LR bullets moving at 100-150 yards, never had anything move out of the way, especially when you don't shoot them when they're super anxious. Deer aren't magical, they're flesh and blood. Considering most Black powder 20bore loads are only going around 1000 at the muzzle, and people did just fine hunting with those... I think your concerns are largely unfounded. Don't shoot at moving animals (eliminating human induced error with the lead), don't shoot anxious animals (so they don't spring at every rustling leaf), and know your trajectory (THE REAL reason 99% of deer "jump the string"). 800fps is 545 miles per hour... deer can't get out of the way of a 60mph car...
BTW, I've also taken deer at 75 yards with a crossbow (not a $$$$ 500fps+ one, a, original style Xcalibur-knockoff) that might be hitting 220 fps with the 550gr darts I'm using. People take moose and Elk at close to 100 yards with modern compound bows (and those are way below 500fps, and darts are far less efficient than even a lead ball, ballistically speaking). Wind's got to be right, and you have to know the trajectory (I custom made sights for my crossbows that allow me to adjust for range)

I have to tell you that I have just had all the necessary encouragement I needed to squeeze the trigger on that .62cal. but my intention is to use it for a wild hog gun !
Throwing that much lead down range with that much energy, has GOT to be able to put a hurtin' on a HOG of just about any size !
So much for my Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket !
Not to mention, I think you have my mind made up on what kind of lead I am going to be buying as well Rick !

Shooter I've been watching alot of your videos and boy you sure are a shooter. I need your advice or opinion. I'm in hill county Texas we use box blind, feeders are 100 yards away with some potential shots of 150. We have whitetail, axis, and pigs.i would like to get a big bore rifle . But with so much to choose from I'm loss which to get. All the videos out they all say there the one. But you have the experience and you shot more air rifles then anyone else in UA-cam.any suggestions what your favorite.thank you . Keep shooting them awesome videos. John
The Piledriver .457 is a solid choice with the Voryex Big bore Supreme 525 gr at 200 yds under 2 inch group . Or the Airforce Texan .50 carbine shooting 388 gr NSA perfect combo. Pick either one

Wonder why they don't put a 700 cc bottle on that bad boy. That bottle looks puny even for a modern small bore rifle.
I was also hoping for that propane tank to explode in a ball of flames.
I am a Hatsan fan and Hatsan owner. But I think they could have innovated instead of adding kind of pointless 62 caliber option to the not very popular PileDriver. Did they fix the blowback to the face issue, or is it worse now? Is it still a goofy 2 shot magazine?
You don't need 62 cal to kill a whitetail deer but I do wish Hatsan all the best! Happy New Year guys.
It is a 480cc 300bar cf tank. Adding 300 cc of volume would add a good bit of weight forward and increase the price a couple hundred dollars. With the current setup, you get 3-4 good big game lethal and accurate shots. The two issues you mentioned are on another manufacturers gun that produces less power.

@@shooter1721 I’m assuming there is some type of adapter to attach a moderator since the barrel isn’t threaded? I’m new to pcp airguns. I was looking at buying the .50 version but was waiting to see what the .62 could do. I hope the 50 is a flatter shooter.

Rick I just got the Huben k1 25 and i was wondering if you could give me your professional advice. I wanted to be able to take some fast closer shots and also some at distance. Like a Romeo and Juliet or a scope with the lpvo 1x 4 or a scope with the quick green dot magnifier attached? What do you think i should be using along with what brand names work good?

I wonder what kind of trigger pull that guns got on it because most of the big bors doesn't have a really good trigger looks like a really nice rifle too bad it's got that ugly bottle on it and not a forearm I will never buy a rifle that's got a ugly bottle on it I'm going to have a forearm to hold in my hand to hunt with I don't care for the bottle thing and all I don't know why these companies can't get rid of them bottles and just put a cylinder in there with a forearm on it and it would look a lot nicer

The Quatro trigger is excelt! You can adjust it to as light as you want it,believe me lol !

I have worst luck or just stink at hunting. Been up in. Erie Co PA on 6-8 hunts sunshine rain sleet or snow and not able to get one shot off ( bow hunt only ). Lol.
I know the feeling many years of nothing . Not even one shot on a whitetail till this video this is the only deer I got to pull the trigger on . And the piledriver did the job !
Hatsan should make a 25,30,35cal regulated piledriver, barrel a little shorter .....& there Hatsan bully all should be regulated with more shots, FX,AGT, and some other brands have proven that you can get more REGULATED shots from a BIG BORE airgun.....Hatsan come ooooonnn man

Hatsan is the most pathetic company for both quality controls AND customer service....I own 3 of their rifles and will NEVER buy another. The springer i bought new had a defective barrel, I sent the new gun to Hatsan they made me pay for everything, took months, and then had the audacity to tell me that I had broken the barrel on a brand new gun, and insulted me by offering me a $150 dollar barrel that I could pay for!!! I could not believe how awful this company showed itself to be. As a contrast, I bought a new gamo IGT rifle, it went defective, Gamo paid for me to ship it back and sent me a BRAND NEW rifle within a couple weeks, that brand new rifle has performed flawlessly for 1000s of pellets now. Lesson learned, NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HATSAN unless you like getting screwed
At least u got something out of it i shot 300 grain out of my 450bushmaster blew up the barrel sent my ruger american back to ruger they dont return my calls or emails at least u got some kinda service out of them fxck rugger

@@fishingpatriot2344 my benjamin bulldog 357owned it 6yrs no problems my break barrel ruger airhawk had it 3yrs no problem but my ruger america chamber in 450 bushmaster thats my deer rifle barrel blew up

Low muzzle velocity compared to a firearm. Too much risk the game moves before impact, hence not ethical

At 100 yards the game can react to the shot and throw off the POI enough to wound or miss rather than clean kill

I would have to shoot a lighter projectile as I just am not satisfied under 800 fps. Just personal choice. I’m guessing north of 1 grand for sure? 1k plus for a hatsan ??? Ummm…..no
I think the msrp is around $1200. I’ve seen the .50 caliber version for $849. I might opt for that.
