I love Cookie's ADC educational vids and advice (like his Varus video), but this not a good support educational style. It should just be relabeled as "go learn carry roles first, so you gain the fundamental experience to make trades and combat damage like this". While I think learning a carry support role is probably fine to climb out of low elo FOR THiS CURRENT META, it won't always be the case and supports should learn how to enable and protect their carries. Something like what to do if your adc bot laner is struggling, ward placement locations and timing, different support builds, things like that.
I am a low elo player who has mained both adc and support, and this kind of vid just feels like a convenient side-step from learning the actual support role for someone like Cookie that already has the skills and knowledge to just carry the teamfights himself against worse players. I'd like to see him learn and then educate us from his experience when he does get to the higher elos where he can't just carry like this.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, although Twitch's passive scales with ap, it only does true dmg. That's why ppl go lucidity boots over sorcs.
Magic pen only empowers ur E burst, while cdr allows u to proc E multiple times in the same fight. (plus playing around your W which has an insane slow when u're ap)
Yes true
or attack speed boots because its the only other way to get attack speed on ap
@@lerpog4509 Press Q
@@AW2111A Q is not an ap item so it really has no relation to what i commented idk why you felt like you needed to include yourself
@lerpog you said "any way". Pressing q is indeed another way of getting attack speed. Runes would also be an option
What you don't understand is that this is a crutch. Even if someone climbs to diamond like this, the second they try to play a real support they will demote. This is a horrible champ for learning the fundamentals of the role.
They're also nerfing the ranged support items next patch. Maybe not as much as it needs to be, but they are nerfing it.
Yeah exactly this. Or if twitch gets banned, what could they possibly play that’s anything similar? Shack? Pyke? Action support? Eve supp? Lol. Twitch is very unique in what he does and he excels in the chaos that is solo queue. Cookie already knows stuff like trading, tempo, roaming, but a normal player won’t. And they won’t learn by playing twitch and roaming the whole game
@@iDivinity117 Well, that's the other problem. A lot of low ELO players already pick Ashe support because of how popular it is in pro play and high ELO...the problem is, they don't understand why it's good, or more importantly, WHEN it's good. They already pick Brand and Xerath because "ADCs are all shit, have to 1v9", etc.
The amount of macro knowledge it takes to be effective and actually carry a game with this Twitch support style is pretty damn high, and if he's trying to be educational, he's never going to be able to explain enough to make people understand how this pick works.
If he's only doing this for his "Support to Challenger" account for his own personal ego then whatever. I'm just worried he's going to actively make low ELO solo queue worse because he's feeding into the "Pick these relatively troll picks and 1v9 the game" mentality that is already ruining low ELO. It's even crazier to me that he'd do this as an ADC main. He has to know he's making games harder for ADC players who are trying to learn the game, by actively telling support players to screw over ADC players and avoid learning the game in favour of these special low ELO branded 1v9 carry support picks.
This whole thing is just so contradictory to what he teaches ADCs, and contradictory to the entire methodology and mentality of playing to improve instead of playing to climb.
God damn this twitch thimbnail gonna make act up
is jax good with predator ?
Xerath support is busted in low elo
Just spent all day playing support twitch. It is the worst thing to play. Like my god. you cant carry with this garbage support.
The fact you advertise paid tips etc for champs when you played such an easy support so badly 👏 🙄
I clicked to comment that the thumbnail needs some work and that’s it I’m ignoring this video
wouldnt you use W as soon as you exit stealth to get the poison stacking asap?
femboy twitch LETS GOOOOO
its like yes you are a very smart player so this pick works. but I honestly cant stand having twitch sup on my team in lower elo. they always feed early and perma roam never being bot at the right time. very frustrating as adc main.
As aphelios main, I absolutly disagree that supports are bad, I hate demage supports and love support supports, braum yummi soraka are best. But from what I see what adcs are playing agaisnt me, I hate to but have to agree that for climb it's better to play dmg supp
Recently climbed to plat 4 using primarily Karma. She's got a lot of utility and is good vs a lot of engage supports, usually not nautilus or blitz unfortunately. She pokes and disengages in lane and provides team shields and speedups for teamfights. I've got a pretty solid 61% wr on her in over 30 games.
If you want to carry teamfights, play Zilean, he's absolutely obnoxious and wins super hard late
It doesn't prove the point as you're basically 1v9ing rather than supporting...
That backdoor was awesome
Varus support, way better than ashe, u got broken dmg early on while laning phase, and in teamfights ure always usable sice u got ur r
Really interesting perspective on engage vs. 1v9 supports in low elo. Thanks for the education! :)
@CookieLoL do I get access to your twitch vods if I subscribe to the patron?
I can normally level an account pretty fast 60-75% win rate depending on season playing just Zyra up till mid plat. Then it starts to get banned out a fair bit.
I hate you cookie i have 3 exam tomorrow and you upload now i have to sleep
Oh I just found it thanks for uploading
I play Leblanc support, great damage great cc great escape, absolutely smurfs in low elo, just have to get the early advantage and be very aggressive
im so surprised to see chat so bitchy about the twitch sup pick. Last season i played Nami and played 250 games on her. went from Silver 3 to Gold 4 grinding and learning the game, and you are really completly helpless if your allies see the angles to kill the enemy. when i play Leona, Rakan and Rell, it was only harder for the exact reasons you say: You never know if your ADC partner trusts you and goes for the 2v2's. Pinging helps alot and the new s13 ping-system actually is pretty great for support shotcallers - but in the end you never know if your adc will listen to you, or if they are going to tilt and throw a perfectly even game because they die once.
Now from the Adc side, G1 - P4
It's super scary when you're support yallah's 1v2 in while you did not reach your first power spike or If you know you got no dmg but supp doesn't.
It's hard to handle, if you're adc doesn't play stuff like Tris or Kai'sa you should not engage at all with a random adc.
He won't follow unless he's bad and doesn't know what he's doing or enemy is worse than you both and you win it.
Gold is max. Coinflip but better playing aggressiv than passiv.
Gl.
@@AW2111A haha, true to that! Ive switched to adc for this season and just got back into silver playing Kaisa and MF. And nothing is scarier than my Nautilus hooking himself straight into the enemy, in the middle of a stacked 2 wave while im trying to farm, with our jungler topside and scared of enemy jgl showing up in the river. X)
ooo baby cookie wat u cookin tonite?
Lux gaming when bro?
sorcs on ap tw..... bruh
What about karthus support?
Lots of hardstuck Nami/janna OTPs bitching about "not a real support pick" in the chat

Why dont u try that in your own elo? Afraid to get stomped? Anyone can make anything work while playing with ppl 10+ tiers below them.
He wouldn't play him, he would play supports like naut, braum, bard, thresh. I've been many times in a situation with tank supports with 1/0/10 and couldn't do shit againts the enemies, because the other laners hadn't the dmg. It's pretty much useless to be "strong feeded" Thresh in lane if other laners in your team are significantly behind. So the point of the video is to show, a good supp player in low elo, how to climb so he can play normal supports later.
Somehow you got almost evrything wrong about ap twitch.
Definitely not arguing with your idea about what supports to play, but when you talk about how enemies are just gonna underestimate twitch support? You definitely underestimate low elo. They might miss most of their spells and play like a mechanical pig sometimes. But they 100% know how strong so twitch is, the part that makes it so strong is definitely how much value you can get from stealth in low elo. That's the one thing low elo will probably never learn is how to respect stealth and how fast you can roam.
