The only thing that bugs me is the velcro. When on photoshoots where it's quiet the last thing you want is to hear velcro ripping so you can access such and such. Otherwise it looks like a good bag.

I got this bag after looking and buying several others including Peak and GoRuck. The GoRuck fit my stuff better because this bag "robs peter to pay paul" with some of the storage. For example...with my camera gear. I cant use top sunglasses pocket because its just a loose spot that hangs down in camera section and if you have stuff in your bag theres a good chance your gonna have broken sunglasses. The GoRuck 28 also fit my Essential Plus Camera Cube and drone bag but this 31 can barely...and I mean barely fit the Wandrd cube. ITs a bitch to use because of how tight it is. I wish the inside was one big opening. I also plan on cutting the top straps because they are too long as pointed out by my designer wife. They flop around and need to be fiddled with everytime you use the bag. Ok, negatives out of the way...Its still the bag I chose because its minimal and thought out well. Build quality way exceeded my expectations and I like the Stealth factor. The Peak has the worst straps Ive ever used and Im a firefighter that carries heavy shit daily and the peak was worse than my airpack. The GorRuck was great however it will tear up your skin and their business model is less than ethical selling USA bags made overseas. I digress, buy this bag if you care about stealth however be aware the 31 is misleading...I could carry way more stuff in the GoRuck 28....like cube,drone bag, puffy jacket, snacks, pouches. I think they included the rolltop in their assessment😆. I cant imagine traveling overseas with this bag because Im not sure where my clothes would go. Time will tell. Build quality 10/10.
@@WANDRD thanks, that's a creative workaround. but what if I need to use the straps to carry or attach another item to the bag, say, a jacket? hopefully the next iteration will have a dedicated pass-through (while keeping most of the current features of the bag). I'll surely get one then!

Does anyone have any issues with the seams of the bottom of their shoulder straps coming undone? It seems to be a load bearing part of the seams that are affected. Gotten one replacement already but the second now's starting to fray again. Wandrd 31

Yo! You could certainly store the mini cube in the bottom of the bag but it would not work well with the side access as it was not it's intended design. You will want The Essential or The Essential+ Camera Cube.
Not sure how the sizes of the cameras compare, but the 21L fits an EOS R with an RF 15-35mm attached. Getting it out via the side-access is a snug fit, but in no way troublesome :)

For such an expensive bag the durability is terrible. I've had mine for a year and it's pretty much coming to pieces - the zip broke yesterday so I cant even fasten properly, the zip flap that covers the camera cube is torn, the padding on the inside back has worn off, the PU material gets really dirty really fast etc. In need of a new bag NOW but I defo wont be going with WNDRD again.
The new version of the 31L sucks in regards to the chest strap. no more sliding. some stupid annoying unclip mechanism (on the rail). They did away with the easy to unclip middle part it's either straight up on or you have to unhook the entire thing. you can no longer open and close it and leave it dangling... It's useless now. I won't be using the chest straps at all.
If you’re into photography then I can see this being justified for holding camera gear and your laptop. If you’re solely looking for a travel backpack that holds your 16 inch laptop then I would recommend a Northface bag since they are cheaper. Northface backpacks have that nice metal backbone that protects your laptop. I own a 2000$ laptop so it’s really important that it is protected. I don’t own a wandrd and I’m no sure if it has a metal backbone. This backpack cost 180 dollars, a steep price for the okay features it offers. You can probably find a Northface for around 100-150. I’m also not sold on how the laptop is only held down a by a Velcro. I think it’s pretty shitty of it to be held only by Velcro when it’s a clamp shell design. Idk man it’s just my opinion. I was considering buying this myself as a photography travel bag but The price is just insane and the dude doesn’t even smile In the video.

The fact that the part that opens to reveal that camera/inside is the one that is supposed to hold a heavy 15" laptop and a tablet, makes absolutely NO sense. Also the dividers that come with it are so cheap! This is clearly a replica of THULE dslr bag, just made to look insta-cool...

Does it have a roller bag sleeve that allows a carry on handle to pass through the bag?
It does not but you can easily use the accessory straps! It's how our team does it and a lot of our customers.

Yo! You could certainly store the mini cube in the bottom of the bag but it would not work well with the side access as it was not it's intended design. You will want The Essential or The Essential+ Camera Cube.
