I like to use Pro Arte Prolene Synthetic Brushes. I have a 3/4 inch one stroke brush, a size 3 rigger and a selection of sizes of pointed round brushes.

I have painted folowing this tutorial. Always thought the Rigger brush was very difficult to use, but I liked it. A happy few hours I spent with it. I think you are going to expand on colors and how to use them. I know a fair bit about the theory, but using that knowlwdge is something else ! I am interested in your take on it.
I also find it very difficult to paint very pale colors in the first layer. Sounds strange ? And I tend to create contrast with many very bold colors and end with not liking the result.
