I splurged on The Isofarian Guard! Got the all-in from their website so it was around $275 with shipping. The box comes in at around 37 pounds so it is absolutely a BIG big box! Looks like an amazing solo player story playing adventure. They say it has around 300 hours of game play! It is supposed to ship this month so I am beyond stoked! I also backed Marvel United Season 3 all-in, so it has been a crazy expensive month, but looking forward to all the new content the multiverse materials will bring to that game.
I have a couple… I found a used Legendary first Ed printing of Dwellings of Eldervale at an LGS. It’s so freaking rad but obviously that game is a lot of money right now. I couldn’t pass it up. Other than that, the Awakened Realms Sundrop Castles of Burgundy which I’ve never played haha. Major hype still. And at the same LGS I found a used deluxe copy of LotR the Confrontation. This is a long comment but I work at a game store so I get deals on new games and my shelf of opportunity is getting out of hand. Oh well haha. I sold Magic cards to play for them. So I’m okay haha
My biggest splurge ever was Darkest Dungeon. Huge fan of the video game, the board game is fine, but the new hobby of painting and the setup I created for me and my friends we can play even though we are all in different cities really makes up for it not being the best game ever like I was hoping for.
I started 3D printing inserts for all my games, and love it. There are some really brilliantly designed ones out there. Although I'm going to have to learn Fusion360 to make my own, as either I haven't found one I liked, or the designers are monsters and don't sleeve their cards. But 3D printing is a whole hobby within itself.
YES! I really need a 3d printer too-would be really fun to experiment with all kinds of things! You bring up an excellent point, and I feel like in the long run, you would save money buying design downloads vs what I’m doing and buying them individually 😂
Regarding reviewer bias, I agree a gift isn't going to change anything. All reviews are subjective because we are going to rate things dependent upon our own likes and dislikes.
Oh 100%! The sword is nice, but it will do nothing to my opinion of the game 😂. Reviews in itself are already a subjective topic as you say-thanks for sharing Mike!
I love a great insert. For me it can’t just store the game, it has to be Functional. Making set up and tear down easier. Etc. I just got an AMAZING one for the Great Wall! I posted a video on it. It’s expensive but for games you love it’s worth it
Tim Ive been loving your recommendations. I was thinking about buying the wolves this past weekend and I might have to. Do you have any recommendations for games similar to stardew valley? My crew and I loved the teamwork aspect of it as well as the art style and levels of difficulty
The wolves was an impulse buy for me a few weeks ago and I was not disappointed. Can't wait to play it again
I never even considered that the sword would influence your review. Can’t believe anyone would thing that! I enjoy your videos
Fun unboxing video! It was cool to finally meet you in person at Dice Tower West👍I'm excited for your Bantam West video!
To be fair, it's not JUST an eyeball 😜 there are also reflections of wolves howling 😁

The Castles of Burgundy Majestic pledge and the Everdell Complete Collection are my two recent splurges.
Wonderland’s war, got all the game stuff plus the playing cards :)

Curious why you like UltraPro over Dragon Shield and Katanas?
He mentioned in another video that the deciding factor was how well they manage glare for filming purposes.
Makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. They are way more cost effective too.
Of course it's Wolves. Awoooooo!
HAHA! Praying it’s good!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
