DALL SHEEP HUNT GANA RIVER OUTFITTERS

A dream backpack hunt in the most spectacular place on Earth. We travel to Gana River Outfitters in the Northwest Territories for a hunt I've dreamt of for many years. After some tough weather and a pile of miles hiked, we were able to take a beautiful twelve year old ram.

Why in the world would you want moved when you have two legal rams spotted in the area you are at? Makes no sense. I’m not done watching yet though.

I liked the video. It shows how difficult a backpack sheep can be. Wasn't happy about the laughter when the sheep was shot and dying, though.

I,ve hunted Dall sheep twice, once in Alaska and once in the Yukon and I took a nice ram both times. This was in the mid- 80 s . The reason I mention this is to point out that there were many more rams in those days,I saw shootable rams every day and most under 200 yards ,you still worked hard but because there were so many rams you were always on high alert. Another significant fact was I encountered no bad weather on either hunt which is also unusual.
