The thing about the English covered songs is not just the lyrics (though obviously they are also important and you all did a great job at them) but one also needs to provide a good enough backing track and the way its sung is also so important. I like your version alot! Because it feels like a reprise, the piano fits the tone perfectly (for me sometimes only a piano backing track can feel lacking but here it's perfect) then ofcourse the way you sang the song is amazing! The emotion, the weight it carries, that little quite part in the middle. Everything really! It's great! Thanks alot and remember to just keep having fun while creating new music(sometimes we forget 😅)

For slow ballads like the way this one is done a simple piano is perfect. You don't want a lot of background in soft emotional pieces (generally speaking). The area where you need to be careful is when you are going with a more energetic piece and still have just the piano. it can be done, but you need a really good arrangement and musician to pull it off.

If you really read into the lyrics and follow the melody, it's an empowering song, not a sad one ^^ a pain that protects us. Through suffering, we're made stronger ;o the memories of the pain are not great, but because of those experiences, we are stronger, as long as we keep moving forward.
