    Into Silence
    Under a waning moon
    in a season of descending,
    conceit is cradled to silence
    and the east winds carry on
    with their coolness, waves
    arriving over these coastal
    mountains, a welcoming
    horizon, carrying me down
    once more into a root cellar
    of joyful imaginings…
    where no one is excluded,
    our banquet expands so
    we may celebrate together,
    and the sharing is generous.
