This is a comment from someone who has been going to Whistler since 1969/70 season! Just a kid at that time. This is not nice ski conditions, at all, for January!!! Yikes! I have never seen conditions like this, ever!!! Thanks for sharing your ski killing, never want to be on your feet again, runs! Thanks guys 👍 from a pioneering "Whistlerite" PS; been there, done that, killed my skis too👍😳😅😅😂😂👍👍
60% of what you just skied would be closed terrain here in Colorado( likely was at Whistler too if it was in-bounds) lol And almost everything else would be a strong candidate for band/boot packing That was sick though
@@samclyne5104 you can but I think you can be charged for the rescue if you’re out of bounds. As long as you don’t go past any permanently closed signs
GoPro never shows the true steepness lol I almost went off the cliff on black comb lol 🤦♂️ Supposed to stay skiers right and I went left thru the trees. Luckily I fell off a ten ft cliff and stopped short of the 80ft cliff 😵
2.7k,60fps, or 4K 30. superview, auto shutter speed, ev comp +0.5, native white balance, iso min 100 iso max 400, gopro colour. Then I upscale the footage to 4K when exporting. I think that’s everything important. You can mess around with the ev comp for when it’s too bright or dark. Filmed on GoPro 9

This is gnarly man. I don’t usually pucker at skiing videos but those log runs… I could feel my tips catching! Mad respect
The man, the myth once again filling my day with blissful skiing videos. Keep it up !
That is some wild skiing ... and you didn't break !! Very impressive.
nuff respect for your backcountry pow wizardry..... proper good that was
This dude is seriously underrated
I can feel myself leaning back in my imaginary ski boots as I'm skiing these sketchy runs with you trying not to snag my ski on a tree lol.
Wow! Nice skiing. Those conditions look terrifying!
Mad respect for your skills, brother. That's an insane run.
This is so much fun to watch. Love it. Even more fun to actually do I imagine. Looks like hard work with that snow though
Thanks!
Right on, look forward to your 2024 content ! Cheers,
Absolutely sick video!! 🤘🏼
awesome skiing! i wish to get this good and ski whistler one day 🔥
The go-Pro effect is crazy in this video man! I wish I could do this stuff it looks so fun
I feel like those are the perfect skis for chowder days like that, so much fun
Definitely my favourite ski for most conditions
That log section is so cool!
Very impressive, man!
I'm claiming your channel at least triples in size this winter. These videos are always great.
We can come back to this if people like or reply !!!
Waw that's really cool. Clearly u were having a blast with ur giggles😂😂
9:15 Gave me a heart attack! Been waiting since last winter for this ski content, keep it up!
Sick lines bro! I can only dream to have balls to do those) Take care of your knees, tho!)
You made that look easy!!
0:50 sick send!!!! jealous of ya brother
it's not the best day but it's the one we got . . . you made it work, good one

dude you are the hardest charger
That was pretty fun!
So much fun!
I would have died trying to make it over those logs 😂
That’s what’s called perfect conditions in the east.
Honestly this looks fun
Sick! Way to get after it!
Amazing bro 🤘
Happy new year
how does that working????? makes no cense but it sooo satisfying!!!!
I go to whistler sometimes but i can never imagine myself doing this
insane!! love it
Amazing
what the first clip? Also how do you find so much powder
Why would those trails be closed? Looks fine to me.
You are sick. Good work. ? We have no snow at Whistler......

The tree well master
Nice!!!
"yeah, i actually do hate my skis! how can you tell?"
Mad sketch bro, invite me next time
How does he just float over the landscape filled with rocks and logs what the actual F lol
You are so good at skiing! I think you could do the free ride world tour if you wanted
Thanks! Maybe one day. There are like 13 year old kids at Whistler who are better than me tho haha
@@BCmtb to be fair, no matter what level your at there's always somehow a kid who's way better than you.
i am so exiting to do it
06:22:00 under the chair, had to lock in
Sick skiing! Are you skiing closed terrain at Whistler?
It’s not technically closed but it is considered outside the ski area boundary this early in the season. I don’t go past any permanently closed signs
Does ski patrol care if you duck ropes at Whistler onto runs outside the ski area boundary?

damn, even at these conditions that looks so fun! I might have to move near there someday if global warming permits.
hello, what camera settings do you have ? Because I want to film like that

I know dude thought about jumping off that tree at 8:03 lol
Where are the potatoes? What is a mashed potato, when it comes to skiing? Greetings from Germany
It refers to how the snow consistency is similar to mashed potatoes. Thanks for watching!
yeah marcus! how were your bases? xd
Pretty rough
great video, but the chase view is the best. It gives prispective.
Thanks! I’ll try to get more shots like that in the future
ur insane
is it slushy snow or powder?
Kinda between slush and powder. There was fresh snow but then it warmed up a ton and got super heavy
paying $300 to ski on a low cov creek bed, INTENSE BRO
If you get seasons pass and ski often it’s like less than 100 a day. Anyone who pays 300 a day is dumb. Even a 5 day makes it so much cheaper
Tips up
Man I hope those are your rock skis hahaha
Indeed they are

All fun and games until you fall in a tree well. Be careful out there man
cant tell if this looks miserable or amazing how is there so much powder yet so many exposed hazards
Early season is always a bit sketchy so fun though

Love to hear it. I’ve been lost more times than I can count. It’s the only way to find the goods
That’s snow not mashed potatoes
Snow in the consistency of mashed potatoes
I've heard whistler is trash right now...
Yup. Almost all the snow is gone. Hopefully more coming soon
1) only say “droppin” when you’re talking to a helo 2) that’s gardening not skiing.
