It does seem to fair pretty impressively next to those more expensive ones but I think the noise of it would be a deal breaker for me, I could see myself using it without the fan all the time and not getting the best out of the light. It's funny, I have a 90d and a 10-18mm lens and I really like how it feels to use, but I know there are better cameras and I'm sure I could keep trying to improve how I'm lighting a scene but the limitations of the camera will only let me get so far. Do you export in H.264? It washes out colour a lot! I feel like that''s another big factor in video quality but I don't know enough about it
Yes the washout from the gamma issue in premiere drives me bonkers! In fact this is probably the first video I’ve managed to get to match how it looks in my premiere timeline correctly. A mix of going into prem settings>color>display color management, and then using the QT Gamma Conpensation LUT from adobe on export (there’s videos all over about using that but the first bit for macs is rarely mentioned), for pc the colour management setting is in the general area of settings.
Btw I used this light with the fan on throughout, a small bit of noise reduction and backing music and it’s hardly audible but I think in future I’d use it on 30% which I think I could have easily managed in this video tbh i was on a low iso at 40%.
Haven't watched the rest of the video yet BUT! To stop the umbrella from sliding out you could maybe get a drill bit collar that tightens down with a hex key
i just got this in the mail. and came here to youtube to see if there is a compatible softbox attachment, and your saying the ZHIYUN Bownes mount adapter will fit this Andoer????
Great video, very informative. I would like to know how its holding on. About fan noise... I think it' may be a ploy by some manufacturers to hike the prices of their lights. There's free software like audacity that'll clear all that noise in a few seconds.

Do you think we can mod it and change the fan to something like noctua a4x20/a4x10 to make it less noisy?

I have two and they're working fine I'm still using them! As you say a little bit of noise reduction in premiere for me covers off the sound issue.
Can I use it with light dome mini diffuser?
I think as long as you get the adapter I mentioned you can use any bowens mount modifier you like!
What's the measurement of that bowl? Can I use standard bowens mount modifiers on this one?

With colour, dual blue chips help improve skin tones a lot according to Aputure. And if the Andoer has tricolor, I am guessing thats what they have.
