Takes me back. I worked in an office near the end of Marham’s runway. My insides vibrated so badly with pairs take offs that I had to leave for the corridor.
Happy days at RAF Laarbruch when i was stationed there from 87 to 90. No 2 15 16 and 20 Squadrons. These are 2 Sqdn aircraft. 1st aircraft in shot has the small brown window behind roundel low down on fuselage side. Was origionaly a GR1a photo recce aircraft. Camera was behind these windows. One each side. 2 Sqdn converted from Jaguar to GR1a in May 88
I'm 12 and this is my favourite plane along with the f22 raptor and euro fighter typhoon ... Good video and scenery... And night time is my favourite time to take off
Oh my God wot a plane the GR4 tornado it's got to be the best plane ✈ but it's not flying next year and I think that it is so sad they could off keep it flying but it comes down to money 💵 my best plane
great plane however the euro fighter leaves it standing i'm afraid, Tornado looks an animal but dated against the likes of the Rapture which could shoot it down before the crew of the tornado are even aware of its presence
Ungainly on ground, but man do they look the biz in flight, love the Tornado, looks like a cat about to spring, when they spooling up....wondered when num1 was gonna swith his anti coll light s on lol...ty good stuff Brits at their best.
Seems criminal to retire these fantastic iconic beasts when they are still performing brilliantly as they have done for almost 40 hard years. They look like proper war machines and of course were designed to attack not Iraq or Syria or Libya but Russia and her Warsaw Pact allies. The fact that they didn't have to is testimony to their capability.
Agree a great and highly capable aircraft that will be sadly missed, a real looker that just ozzes intent and looks right! The Typhoon and F35 just don't have the same presence and aggressive feel
The typhoons may be great but they don't compare to the noise levels of the Tornado and when I say noise I mean the bass note :) the typhoon has a much higher pitch.
Can anyone tell me.....are all the old Tornado Jets now gone from Lossiemouth? Are they still in service? What would happen to Tornadoes that are no longer needed? Scrapped or sold on?
Hi Gman, no Tornado's left at Lossiemouth now, been replaced by Typhoons. The last Tornado's are now based at RAF Marham in Norfolk but steadily reducing in numbers as they get closer to final retirement. not many months to see if you want to see them. The retired aircraft are mainly having parts stripped and the remainder scrapped
They're 2 different types of aircraft so impossible to compare. The Tornado Gr4 is a ground attack aircraft and the typhoon is a fighter jet. The tornado GR1 was the fighter version and had the longer pointed nose
@@daveygman8737 The Typhoon FGR4 now does multi role quite well. The Tornado GR1 was not the fighter version. That was the F2/F3. The fighter versions had longer nose radome for the AI.24 Foxhunter and fuselage stretch to carry 4xSkyFlash/AMRAAM.

To go back 13 years to watch this again ❤

Miss you so much.....Air shows aren't the same anymore
The Mighty Fin, best multi-role aircraft ever built imo and retired far too soon and yet to be replaced with anything close to its amazing ability.
Frigging excellent video mate....missing the Tonka so bad xx

I love love those tornadoes.
You have a very good taste in aircraft young sir :)
Awesome aircraft, I spent many hours watching tornadoes at RAF Cottesmore, which is now an army base.
When I visited the UK on three occasions spent many hour at the viewing bay at Leeming, it because addictive.
Tonka, loudest beast ever
this was the biggest mistake i see ... this aircraft will or would take any eurofighter out of the sky its brut force.. its presence commands respect
Really? 😂 it's a dinosaur in modern avionic combat. Euro fighters would kill it from a 100 miles away stupid!
Awesome, just awesome...
Thank you Firefox
Thanks, I feel the love :P
Fantastic

Could not agree more; hits you in the chest when behind them
@@SEAGOONS1 yea it was amazing :).

Wonderful !!!
euro fighter not a patch on these brute force
Rubbish, the Tornado was a fine aircraft but can't be compared to a Typhoon.
The Typhoon is on a different level in every way.
