- A historic gift will ensure that no medical student at Montefiore’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine will have to pay tuition again. Dr. Philip O. Ozuah, President and CEO of Montefiore Einstein, the umbrella organization for Einstein and Montefiore Health System, announced that Albert Einstein College of Medicine has received this transformational gift-the largest to any medical school in the country-from Ruth L. Gottesman, EdD, Chair of the Einstein Board of Trustees, Montefiore Health System Board Member, and Professor Emerita of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. We are profoundly grateful to Dr. Gottesman. I felt that for all of them. That’s deeply personal. And to donate such a tremendous gift - God bless her generosity.
I cried. Honestly how selfless could you be ❤❤
I did, too!
@150 She is 93. She has had an extremely privileged life. It is possible that she actually knows that she can't take billions with her.
Physicians are doing quite well. Most certainly better than homeless Holocaust survivors and babies burned alive. But then again helping them/helping prevent horrors is not of interest to her. No, no, no. Why would a "Jewish" "pediatrician" care about "those people?"
dr anna
@150 I am crying too. I think about babies buried alive and the homeless Holocaust survivors. Yes, I am Jewish, my father lost his family and I am a historian. And yes, my life has been different from of that of this "Lady." Thank God. I am glad I am ethical.
I have little patience for psychobabbling and goodness poses.
dr anna
@@marym9150 I cried too. For the entirely different reasons. I despise rich kitschy heartless people striking their hugging poses for fame, self-promotion, self-gratification and tax purposes.

These vids should have a million views, what a gift from Ruth L. Gottesman.
This Star Trek fan gives a hearty Vulcan salute 🖖 to Doctor Gottesman!!!
May she continue to live long and prosper.
Incredible philanthropy. *Now we just need another billion to give the dedicated teachers who educate these students a raise. Faculty salaries have been stagnant for 10 years while the cost of living in NYC has tripled. Dear generous billionaires: please show the Einstein educators some love too!*
No, not to this one. Another indecent DIE donor turning Yeshiva University into Harvard monstrosity..
She also donated (much smaller amount) to Teacher's College - a notorious antisemitic place.
@@anna-tn8mg you always have to piss on anything good by an unnecessary comment like that.
@@Mrbb33399 Well, marching and chanting "from sea to sea," burning babies alive and torturing the Holocaust survivors isn't that wonderful. Dr. Ruth doesn't know that and neither do you. What did she do in her long and extremely privileged life to prevent this?
dr anna
@@Mrbb33399 Well, no exactly good. I happened to dislike antisemitism. dr anna
Bless them. Such pressure lifted....hope they remember this moment and give back somehow with their skills
I’ve already seen a few interviews with medical students saying they’ll go into peds or internal medicine 🙌
진짜 멋있으시당...장학금 받고 다니시는 분들 정말 열심히 공부하셔서 꼭 좋은 의사 되시길!!
그게 가장 보답하는 방법입니다^^
The World so need people like her than never before . God bless her and her love ones.
Nammo Ami Toufo.
This is how great wealth could be better used for communities and problems here on Earth, not for space exploration!!
How wonderful for these students and what a legacy Dr. Ruth Gottesman will leave!
Wow! The financial burden for so many that was just lifted. What a gift…what a blessing.
Well, it's terrifying that people don't know the difference between a "financial burden" of those who can deal with it and endangered lives, tortures and horror. Our overfed babbling nonagenarian doesn't know this. Sadly, neither are all the commenters here.
Yes, it really is a blessing. What a lot of ppl don’t realize is the pressure that medical folks are under, even if they end up living lives of privilege. Trust me, I used to work in public mental health, and the suicide data - sadly - proves it (the pressure that they feel). 😢Finances don’t solve for everything, but if it takes a load off of them emotionally and encourages them to get therapists of their own, then that’s a good thing. 🙏🏻 Then, they will be able to keep serving the public with sanity and dignity.

@@MikeDonaldson-eh2ru She didn't know how many billions she had. When she discovered (after October 7th!!!), she instantly knew whom to give part - to those who need the least.
Not to the underpaid future Jewish educators, not to the unemployed (or seriously underpaid) Jewish academics, but the future physicians, many of whom come from wealthy families and are not Jewish.
Personally, I am more concerned about young (and not so young) hostages (Yeshiva U. affiliated or not) and families of babies burned alive than the finances of physicians.
But then again I am not a "caring pediatrician." I am, however, Jewish and decent. and yes, I know how many dollars and pennies I have.
dr anna (not this kind of doctor)
@@MikeDonaldson-eh2ru They'll put her name on some building and "Das ist ueber Alles"
I am happy to share with you the story that in August this year, Albert Einstein College of Medicine will be tuition-free!!
Victory to all of the med students. That is a true professor right there.
I wish this could be possible for any university in Karachi, Pakistan. Congratulations to all the students out there.. 🎉
Great... Simply Great
WONDERFUL..thd gift that keeps on giving❤
Her husband would be proud😊
If everyone helps this world
This world will be a peaceful oasis.
I am hoping others will follow her step 😊
Hi Karim, how's your day going with you?
Let's see how grateful They ...by becoming part of the medical professionals ....... just my opinion 😊
I’m not a med student but why am I crying 🥹
BEST VIDEO ON INTERNET !!!
Would love to see the mic drop at the end
The number of applicants to Einstein will skyrocket. Good for them. One less thing for them to worry about.
That's amazing.... Now do the same for the nurses!
As generous as this is, it's probably a dagger in the heart to those who have graduate in the last 4 years and have a lot of debt.
Hopefully, citizens of this country will be prioritized
As long as they are not Jews
Not sure if this is a part of the donation agreement
@@avataraang2656 It isn't.
@@anna-tn8mg In that case it is all up to the school. But I’m sure there are certain conditions attached to this donation, perhaps about admission requirements as well.
@@avataraang2656 Not in our reality.
Not so long ago, the university was ordered to accept an LGBT undergraduate club. I am stressing "undergraduate" because undergraduate education and Rabbinical school at the YESHIVA university is dedicated to teaching Judaism and related subjects. This is a religious school.
I don't know the details of her donation, but I have a serious problem with it.
Both with the nature and timing. There are very few Jewish schools. Yeshiva U. focuses and should focus on the raising the next generation of religious leaders, experts on Jewish education, Jewish history, Hebrew, etc.
Jewish educators are seriously underpaid, many experts on Jewish subjects are either unemployed or seriously underpaid. Yeshiva college and graduate Jewish programs have a number of poor Jewish refugees for whom Jewish education is a commitment and sacrifice.
Yet none of these and similar groups got a help from our privileged Lady, born into a wealthy family, away from the horrors of the last century.
Further, among hostages there are people from New York, some affiliated with Yeshiva U. The Upper West Side has pictures of all hostages in several places. Imagine in what condition are families of hostages and of babies buried alive. Jews again are in existential threat, but our pediatrician is happy to strike her hugging poses in front of the cameras. She is happy.
I’d cry with them and I’m only a premed
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽👏🏽💯
Amazing!
Hi Emily, how's your day going with you?
She is a American Jewish 🇺🇸🤝🇮🇱
So, after the announcement did they chant "from the river to the sea" to her applause?
Her beneficiaries at Teacher's College, for example, tend to.
Hope they realize she is a Jew and respect that at the very least. I would even say they should disqualify any students that are antisemite! It is just right IMHO
@y5878
Why would they care? Sorry, it doesn't work this way. Bigoted bastards are bigoted bastards. And they love useful "Jews" as long as they are useful. Yes, antisemitism is one of the areas of my expertise.
And, clearly, rich psychobabblers don't have a problem with antisemitism.
@@cathiuy5878 Ah, I was thinking why I am so highly irritated. Jewish education needs all the support it can get. People who choose Jewish studies don't make a lot of money even if they can find a job. Qatar most certainly doesn't support them. It supports those who chant "from the river to the sea." So, to a some degree (I have no idea to what) does she. I find this utterly repulsive.
@@cathiuy5878 No, it doesn't work this way.Bigots are bigots and clearly academia favors them.
@@cathiuy5878Sorry, it doesn't work this way. Someone raised as a bigot and additionally brainwashed later, doesn't see light because of ... This is fiction.
When it comes to disqualifications, it won't happened and I am guessing that she contributed to the horror of our academia to some? significant? degree. Harvard has Pritzker. Was this one Yeshiva's Pritzker? I really don't know. I just discovered her babbling existence
I felt this!!! Congratulations
❤❤❤ Bless her heart ❤❤❤
Those future doctors will be enough better doctors since they honor tuition free they received.
Huh? In all languages I know this is qualified as a dogma
God bless you! 👏
Where do u sign up for nursing program?

Penny Pritzker of Yeshiva University?
Bangladesh poor country but all med schools almost free . Very very hards job becomes doctors
Bravo Jewish Family , Gotteman...❤❤❤❤
ALL Education should be FREE. and we could do that if we give our tax money to our schools and not foreign Countries. Lets start taking care of our own People first. MAGA Trump 2024
Legend 🥰
Hi Sandra, how's your day going with you?
what an absolute legend.
Wow 👍👍🤎🤎
the weight lifted off of everyone’s shoulders
This is a great and heart warming generosity……
But 1 billion…. How long does it last… I wonder. Tuition free for all will not last that long, sadly.
It'll stretch if they have to buy books and housing. Maybe they'll remember after graduation and keep the endowment going.
@@mailman63155exactly. Pay it forward.
Let's see if they will educate doctors to actually listen to and care about their patients, instead of only worrying about their paid checks.
Well, that is the point. I hardly think that the majority of these young people who were willing to go into debt for more than 1/4 of a million dollars don't care. Remember that it is the people who run the hospitals and most clinics that dictate how much time they can spend with the patient etc. The people at the top put pressure on doctors as well as all of the corrupt insurance companies
God Bless her…wish more millionaires and billionaires would follow suit🎈🎈🎈
Let’s hope that all these soon to be doctors go straight to Gaza and help all the people so horrifically abused by Israel.
It's not like most of them are paying for it with there money anyway..
All MED SCHOOL VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. ALL MED SCHOOL SHOULD BE FREE tuition bcoz many doctors suicide for tuition n MCAT exam n take a long time becomes doctors. MCAt totally unnecessary
Frankly, I would have made them pay 25% or so, as a token. But perhaps they still have to pay for books and housing.
Whole world's wide becomes doctors only study 5 yeaars . NO MCAT .
I’m so so proud of you Mrs Gottesman you stand up for our beautiful Jewish faith. Love this. One day if I’m blessed with this kind of wealth I would do the same . ❤
How many of them have parents or even themselves who would never vote for free college tuition. They’re all Hipocrits. This is amazing but America is broken.
😑 *promosm*
Doctors not having debt, just what we need. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nobody should get in debt for studying.
Lame guys
They are all foreigners geez
Of course. I wonder how many were chanting "From sea to sea" after the announcement.
Note that she didn't give anything to anything Jewish - not for the Rabbinical school, not for History/Jewish studies/Jewish education departments. She looks to me like another self-hating hugging babbling "Jew" my ass.
Doing this when Jews are mourning the babies buried alive, pray for hostages, soldiers and other Israelis, when Jewish students and anyone who dares not to chant "From sea to sea" is terrorized is beyond revolting. But she is "happy."
How did you reach that brilliant conclusion? Also, what do you have against foreign students?
@@soundscape26 Well, there are very few Jewish institutions of higher educations. The structure of this institution is now complex. The college focuses on Jewish "things" and one can safely presume that it is teaches mostly Jews, including a number of emigrants for Eastern Europe, for example. The Rabbinical school trains obviously Jews. The Departments such as History, Jewish studies, Jewish education have mostly Jewish students. Professional schools are open/are of interest to everyone and many have children of very rich parents of assorted ethnic, religious, racial background.
Now, she decided not to support poor Jewish emigrants, not to support Jewish education, but a school that might include a number of antisemites. For example, another "Jewish" institution - Brandeis has had among its graduate students vicious Hamas activists.
This is one problem. Another problem. She is all about children, children, children.
There are young people, including possibly Yeshiva U. students/faculty among hostages. Many children in Israel were buried alive. Did she rush to console families, try to do help somehow? No. She is too busy rushing to this or that camera to promote her wonderfulness. She still has billions. Some might go next time directly to Hamas.
@@soundscape26 Some are possibly Hamas activists. As long as their parents are rich, they deserve this rich (born rich) German woman's help. Unlike, for example, future Jewish educators.
@@soundscape26 I replied a couple of times but I am Jewish and my comments were removed. Nur die Antisemiten need to apply.

Not one white person.
So amazing! I was so emotional, because i knew how hard to sent my daughter to a medical school here in the Philippines.
How do I get in?, this is amazing
Go premed and get exceptional grades, like top of your class. They definitely won't be handing out admissions by any means.
Where the hell is the full video? I watched a version on TikTok originally where she mentions more about her husband in the beginning? And now it is washed from the internet I guess
Wow. Thank you.
