Dude you are sampled in my favorite underground hiphop track of all time, “Children Sing” by Pacewon and Mr Green. Can you give any more information on this song? When/why/where it was performed?
@@8JFJK8 It was released in 1976 by the New York School of Jewish Song, a choir consisting mostly of fifth- and sixth-grade boys (whose voices hadn't dropped yet, lol). The kids in the choir generally came from schools around the NYC area. The 'brains' behind the operation was my grade-school music teacher, Hershel Lebovits, which is why the kids in my class (and I) had the opportunity to audition. The words are from the biblical Book of Proverbs, 31:10-1, 30-31.
@@HeshyRosenwasser i wonder if your classmates or peers who sung in this are aware they have been sampled and heard by millions of hiphop fans around the world! Pretty cool!
@@8JFJK8 some of them might be aware, I haven't asked them about it. But someone (not me, lol) made Mr. Lebovits aware of it and he was surprised and amused.

This is crazy. This is a beautiful song. I also find it halirous how it somehow became the backing track to a hip hop song by Mr Green. This song Eishet Chayil. The words are fr a prayer we Jews say every Friday night
It hasn't been put on Spotify or any of the other online services. The album itself is a rarity. I don't think it has even been put on CD, only vinyl and cassette. And even those are hard to find these days.
I'm really confused by all these comments. Can someone explain all the comments on this video complaining abut copy-write issues and what "sample beats" everyone is talking about? And who is Mr. Green? I assume someone (Mr Green?) stole this tune somewhere else on UA-cam (which would be hilarious since this is a really really old simple jewish song LOL). Please someone shed light on what is going on here... Thanks!
I was listening to a song by pacewon and mr green and came across this..this such a master piece
After 10 years or longer i finally found the sample🤣 banger track.
Hey, I was on this record! We had a great group pic on the back of the album jacket!

This was my father's choir. He died a month ago
Stunning song! love it!! the soloist is my fatherrr!!!
really cool, he has such a pure voice
Mr Green
+Peter Hardie it amazes me how hes able, to take this song and turn it into one of the best sample-based beats ever in my opinion
+Bon Grips This guy is a freaking genius.
He's diggin' some gold...
There for the same reason
Mr Green took the raw potential of this song and ripped it open like a bag of skittles for all to behold
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Heartbreakingly beautiful melody and the arrangement/singing is top-notch.
Listen to "Children Sing" by Pace Won and Mr. Green
Yessir!
Several friends of mine were on this record. I auditioned for it but my voice was too rough for Mr. Lebovits' preference.
This song was sampled by a rapper “Pacewon” in a song called “Children Sing”. Beautiful song, both the rap song and this original.
Do you have any other info on this recording? When/why/where it was recorded? Who sung it? Its beautiful they should put this on spotify.
