Can you recommend a protector that the top portion zips off, leaving the rest in place, so the only part to wash is the top surface area. I own one but cannot find any online now!
Daniel, unfortunately we don't have a product like that but that's a great idea! The closest solution would be to either add a separate top only protector or a more breathable mattress pad that can be taken off and washed. We offer cotton and washable wool protectors that are intended to go over the a waterproof encasement or protector for a better, less sweaty sleep. So I was told to reference this video as to how putting a topper cover on a mattress topper. First off it's ridiculous to have only one end that's open. 2nd has anyone tried doing this to a latex 3 inch topper the cover doesn't just glide over the latex. It's almost impossible to do by yourself and without tearing either the corners of the latex or ripping the cover. And when I ask for instructions I get info on how to put a mattress cover on lol not a topper
It's definitely more work if you don't have a buddy to help you get one on for sure, but for many sleepers where allergens are a real issue, it's the best solution and is still worth the time and energy to protect your mattress!

It's not easy, but it's not impossible. Definitely takes some time and a little wiggling if you are trying to manage this on your own.
