- Part two of the cave digging project, just testing out the disc saw and breaker by cutting a 1m x 1.5m square opening, maybe a couple of feet deep. Pretty hard going and no useful stone at this point but the tools work great. Hoping to make some real headway in 2017 subscribe to keep up to date with this and many other projects.
Part 1 Before digging is here: • cave dig part1. Before...

You my friend are living my dream ,love the vids
Square off the entrance so you can door it up. But round off the top of the interior halls for support
Bravo! I am excavating a sandstone cave in the USA. Mine is mostly a process of digging out a clay vein. My sandstone is much harder than I expected.
It looks like red dirt... clay even
I'm looking for inspiration. I kinda want to make a staircase down through lava rock that leads into an ocean front cave. Of course the cave would need to be dug out also.
You sound like a Durham lad Paul, mind am loving this cave build lucky man having your own land to be able to do this, it's brilliant mate well done you. Take care Liam 😉
that is fucking awesome Paul.
amazing video 10/10 dude!
4:09 that's a good spot fo' it. Need some sandstone right there. Build the bridge up. Meant to do that. Been there.
Good work sir. informative video! Thank you sir.
I. Hope you are going to shore up the opening. Then continue every 2’ for safety. Get a piece of plywood for your stream crossing. Try to make your work as easy as possible.
Been waiting so long am 😂😂😂😂now I'm watching took me a long time to find these videos mint
Hope you enjoyed it!
get a spade bit
What’s the name of the tools and equipment you used?
Excellent way to get fit and extra space! It look like reddish stone I've seen in the NE England and Scotland. Good luck.
Pavel Tikunov i think its sandstone
Looks like dirt.
Awesome
Where is part 3
Yay! Been looking forward to another video for 7 months :D You had a busy summer dome building?
I had a big house extension job on for most of the summer, just finishing it now, so I should have time to upload more videos. going to try for two a week next year!
Keep it up!!!
Hey! Thanks for the videos! Why not make the entrance bigger and do everything with the excavator? How long will it take you to excavate the cave?
Yeh, I will make the entrance bigger, something like 2m tall and maybe 1.2m wide. I should be able to get the tractor in to pick up the stone. I can't use an excavator because it's solid sandstone, I need to cut the stone into useable sizes so I can sell it. It could take 5 years to complete, sounds like a long time but I recon it will last 1000 years.
Paul Robinson Wow! Sounds like a great project. Thanks for sharing the experience.
I live in ontario and there is exposed granite all over you coul literally make a small petra
Sir..
how many watts of generator do you use?
Close to the creek level. It nevers flood??
We had the worse rain ever in 2015 many places where flooded, over 2m! my stream was fine because we are so high up (right on top of the fells) no matter how much rain we get the stream never really floods.
Is that sand stone or what. I want to learn to do this.
what are your tools? Not a handy person here
Me matey's go with the pint sized spirits leval ah
Very satisfying
I love the smell of silica in the morning
Are you land owner or he hired you?
I own the land, still trying to find time to dig further.
I wonder if something like this could be done with a hand shovel.
It would take a seriously long time lol.
a pickaxe would take half the time to dig through sandstone like this.
Was thinking the same ref pickaxe being faster and easier.
Shovel won't go through stone. It'll break.
are you getting ready for nibiru?
No not really, it's going to be a root cellar and maybe wine seller.
Paul Robinson
make sure you put a strong door on it haa
When you play mine craft in real life.
