Wonderful! In addition to making a baby book, I used this idea as a jumping off point for making a book with 1 1/4" x 2" wooden tags that I got 100 for $5 on Amazon. I joined two tags with washi tape. Since washi tape likes to come undone, I first joined the tags with double stick tape, then ran the washi over that. I left a space between the tags so they could fold closed then followed the rest of your directions. I keep trying to come up with ways to use these wooden tags and you keep helping me. Thank you.

I made my youngest granddaughter (9 yrs. old) a tiny journal last Christmas. On the front I put "Shhhh, It's A Secret". (Because she told me she could remember every boyfriend she's had since kindergarten 😂). Imagine how much fun she will have looking through it when she's an adult! Very cute tiny journal. You said something about a rice grain, when my kids were in school, I wrote their friends names and theirs of course, on rice and put them in tiny bottles with corks, made necklaces for them all. They were a big hit.

Okay you got me. I'm one of those ocd people who likes to do things by the "book". But I tried out the mini journal yesterday and actually sewed the signatures in, attaching a braided wrap for keeping it closed and added a string of tiny beads to the spine with a jump ring for attaching to something else. Have one page with pocket and tiny tag that is removable; another page with a tiny envelope attached with a tiny paperclip. OM this is starting to sound like a story/joke my daughter made up when she was younger (much younger, lol).
I know this is a year ago, but I can not believe the tiny journal you showed in the beginning has my maiden name on the back page that was sticking a little to the back cover. And it's a unique spelling. 😂 these little journals are just my style. I love miniatures
