Hey @humanAi2030, where did you buy this? I’ve been searching online but cannot find a retailer/wholesaler - let me know where you grabbed yours - we love it and my son is beyond excited to find out it exists
They are so cool to operate and use. My son doesn't really bother with it anymore and I carefully put it away till one day he has a son and can fly it with his him.
@@Human2Ai2030 Well that really sounds intresting I hope it keeps on flying besides I do have the exact same blimp to be honest man it was really fun to fly this video is making me happy by your son flying it around like used to im getting another one not the goodyear blimp a zep air rc blimp instead so i can play with the zep air while my goodyear blimp is being fixed have great fun with it in the future mate 😉 (but the goodyear blimp is not the hindenburg lol)
@@traindude239 Remain calm and keep flying man . You should try remote control airplanes,, outdoors,, they are really good fun. Start off with a cheap entry glider with a central electric motor to get to understand them. Very peaceful rewarding experience.
@@Human2Ai2030 will do that will probably be in a month or a couple months time though but will have the video link sent straight to you when its uploaded
Hi there, if you read the previous comments t does say where I got the blimp from. In a nutshell , I purchased the blimp from ebay USA site . They must have kept it for several years in the basement ? I purchased the helium from a local Walmart , they use it to inflate balloons. Merry Christmas 🎅
The small wings are stuck to the rear , It has ti small propellers that rotate up and down to give it lift or decent . Left and right are achieved similar to driving a tank , right rudder forward, left rudder backwards. It can turn on the spot . Brake is both rudders backwards, and forward is both rudders forward. The art to flying this Airship is smooth, gentle movements . Good fun, maybe a bigger room or indoor unit.
@Kristopher Taylor Thank you for your kind offer. I presume this is a child sending messages, not the actual mother. If this is young Kris ? I can say that as a young child myself, there were lots of things I also desired, but I couldn't have or afford to buy. As I grew up, I fulfilled my dreams through hard work, I got the money to buy stuff I couldn't afford as a child. .. When you grow up , you will create a Goodyear Blimp and fly it ! You will create a vlog of yourself flying this Blimp in the future, and you will send me a link so I can watch it. I will be really happy for you as you have fulfilled one of your dreams in life. I wish you all the best for the future and keep your dreams alive.
I am sorry, but the blimp belongs to my son . He will not sell or part with the blimp. Where are you based ? UK 🇬🇧 or USA 🇺🇸 ?? There is a way to make a blimp , very similar to this Goodyear blimp.. I will create a video for you with my idea so you understand the process. I admire your persistence as a mother . I believe you can still buy a Goodyear blimp balloon in the same shape. The helium is what gives it lift. You can buy an RC flying shark or nemo fish ? So this kit comes with the remote control and the stuff needed to fly ? So, instead of using the fish balloon, you attach all the stuff to the Goodyear balloon, and it should fly . You can make the rear rudders out of cardboard and stick them on with double-sided tape. That's how they come in the kit. You might need to make some counterweight that hook on , but the Fish kit should have them already. They look like tiny plastic pegs.
I am sorry to hear this . I kept looking on ebay and I eventually purchased this one from the US . People have kept them stored for years, and they do come up every now and then , keep looking. Yard sales, units get cleared out . Antique toy dealers. They sell those fish and shark's these days , I don't understand why they don't sell the blimps anymore ? Contact Goodyear and ask them to manufacture them again, as there is a market for them . Best of luck with your quest.
You no longer see Goodyear blimps in the sky because they need $100,000 worth of helium gas, and helium gas is a worldwide shortage, and there are extremely difficult to operate.
@@Human2Ai2030 I think "ballon boy" from the states would have beaten you to it, but that story was a fakery which landed them in jail! Heli chased the "ufo" all about... no boy inside the balloon. I suppose they were disappointed. So off to jail for dad!
very cool! incredible work I sent see very often people creating rc airships!
I bought the kit , Old school for my Son. I won't lie ,, I purchased the Gas and very little assembly 👍🤘😉

Is Jake no longer using it? If he’s not using it anymore, send it to me!
I carefully put it away in the loft and said he would have to do the same with his son one day in the future. Family tradition 😁
How much did it cost?
