Do you have a video where you show us how to 1) harvest rhinestones from too-gone pieces, and 2) choose and replace rhinestones in the pieces you want to rescue? I’d love to watch it if so. Thanks for your great videos. I enjoy them quite a lot!
I have a couple of repair videos showing removal and replacement of rhinestones! I have not done one on harvesting stones…it can be tricky to remove them leaving the foil backing intact! Try this one? ua-cam.com/video/P-jHCkZKm-k/v-deo.htmlsi=laP6cm0WukndUB4j
I really appreciate u doing a video for beginners. I’ve been looking for videos like this. Is there a book or books u would recommend for beginners to purchase to learn about the different types of jewelry and how to identify? Thank u!
Hi! I’m so glad you liked it! I plan to do more videos for beginners and I did recently make a video about replacing rhinestones! I don’t have many videos up so I’m sure you can find it if you click on my name!😊. There are many books but most of them are just alot of pretty photos rather than solid info for beginners. You just gave me some good suggestions for new videos! Thank you!
I actually purchase broken pieces cheaply and keep a box of them for harvesting stones/chains/clasps. I also have purchased from mrstones.com with success!
My favorite glue is gorilla glue gel (not regular gorilla glue). It sets quickly but not so quick that you cant reposition stones. Not to be used on non foiled stones though. I have a repair video that goes over the tools I use that might be helpful! Thanks for watching!
Welcome! There are so many great facebook groups to join! I can recommend "Lily Works Vintage to Modern Jewelry for Reselling" as well as "Vintage & Antique Costume Jewelry Values and Identification" for starters! Are you in CA? Even Walmart won't deliver to us out here! (that's okay, I use other tests for bakelite). Thanks for watching!
@@SLOHappyVintage it’s funny when I order it with my computer it doesn’t let me to do it but when I ordered in my cell phone they send it to me. It’s just funny you know you’re very nice person sharing your experience with us. Thank you.
Well done!!
Thank you so much! ❤🎉😊
I collect vintage and antique jewelry, I have zero pieces with a lobster clasp. Wonderful video, thank you😊😊
Yep. They would only have them if they were replaced at some point! ☺️ thank you for watching! Sounds like you have an amazing collection!
Lol, I didn’t know that was how you pronounce Michael Michaud’s name!! Love the finds and info!!
Not sure if it is but I’ll boldly go with it! 🤣 Thanks for watching Kacie! 💕

What kind of glue do you recommend using to replace missing rhinestones?
