As I walked through the Glenshane Pass I heard a young girl mourn - The boy from Tamlaghduff she cried is many years dead and gone - how my heart been torn apart for this brave man to lose - we'll never see the likes again of my brave Francis Hughes. .
They commited suicide, whats brave about that? Raymond McCreesh wanted to come off the suicide attempt , he asked for scrambled egg and milk but his brother ( the priest ) said he doesn't know what he's saying leave him....3 days later he was dead.

Always gets me when the interviewer asks about people who are listening screaming at the radio saying that these men got what they deserved.She's working for a national radio station that only came about by the sacrifice of fellow Irish heroes roughly 60 years previous. This is always lost on our fellow Irish people in the south.
We need as many of these stories of all these brave men and woman from 81 because they would be into their 60s now and there’s gonny be a time when we’ll be hearing second hand from these people from others that’s heard it from the hunger strikers family and close friends and comrades. U don’t have to be a republican to realise how brave these 10 men were. The bravest of the brave. 🇨🇮TAL🇨🇮.

comrade these oglaghs are the bravest soldiers that not just this nation, but this world has seen, all we need now is irish unification and an eu exit, for our republic, i'm not coming from a nationalistic right wing racialized or religious point of view like brexit but to achieve the 32 county republic thats been fought for not just by these brave men but by all the men and woman who fought for irish freedom over the last 832 years and our right to self determination as a nation and a people of ireland
