All results can be found on these two websites that have done some extensive testing of Norton 360. I have to say I am very impressed with the version of Norton Security, there are plenty of deals out there, so do your research, but it seems Norton is back with a awesome antivirus.

The Best Antivirus Software I have used in 2020.
I concur.
I agree
It definitely won’t like Facebook’s tactics. I have protection set up on my computer to prevent that shit.
Certainly, regarding PC security Symantec is a smart choice.
Norton is USA same is FACEBOOK.

Next : Kaspersky and Bit defender
Excellent, I've been using Norton for years without a problem. I wasn't actually aware of half those features you pointed out
The classic Norton lol. I remember when I used to use this back on my old Laptops from 200X. Over the years I have moved from Norton to Avira to Webroot to Panda to Avast To Microsoft Security Essentials and Finally the Antivirus I run today which is ESET/Nod 32. I also run a combination with Malwarebytes alongside it.
Looks like you get a lot for your money. 10 years ago I was an ESET fan and used it to cover our work network. Today it is just me and my desktops. I would be interested in a follow up maybe after a month of you using it. Thanks Brian!
What program is the green and orange C on the taskbar in his videos?
Hi, I was making a bootable flash drive but it stopped in middle of the process and now I can't format it and diskpart shows error which says 'the semaphore timeout has expired'. Can you help?
you have any Idea about how to deactivate the anoying check mark ✓ over each image? I cant even vizualice the icon due to that thing
the Best is kaspersky
Hands down.
More bloatware. As a technician I have seen and tried them all.
I just want to know if vpn usage is unlimited on Norton Security Standard edition?

I lived on Norton Utilities back in the DOS days. Loved it.
I shall look in the system 360 Norton. Thanks.
Hello Brian,
Norton is the nuts, kept me safe for 8 years. I'm now on Kaspersky because new subscribers get it for 24 squids but existing subs get to enjoy a bill for just shy of 90 squids.
I have no probs in paying for things but I do object being mugged. At least Dick Terpin wore a mask.
Gr8 channel and content, thanx for your hard work.
Norton is way too invasive as well as McAfee. kaspersky is the best, never had an issue and saved my ass numerous times.
I agree....I bought a new laptop a while back and it had McAfee pre-installed.....It failed to live up to the hype and it was an absolute nightmare to get rid of...So I ended up replacing the drive with an SSD and re-installing Windows.
How did you get to the settings page?
Have had Norton for about 15 years now. I never had a single problem. I just bought the Norton 360 Premium on Amazon as it is quite cheaper then direct from Norton This is my first year that I will have to enter a credit card number. As most I don't like the idea of automatic renewal, but they say you can turn it off. Just a little hard to get to it in your account. In the past I never had to uninstall my older or expired Norton as the new install did all the work. Do you now have to uninstall your older Norton before you install new Norton 360. I've heard some have had problems. Also can you use norton with Malwarebytes? I have always had both. Thanks Britec09 for all your videos.
Is the new Norton 360 included a firewall?
how can you swap from the classic look to the new one?
Norton, wow, that takes me back, used it upto windows 2000ME. now usin ioBit
hello brian, Symantec products seem to have changed in a good way ! maybe i could test them in a vm... anyways, good video again !
I have an annual paid subscription to Norton 360. I, as you like, the features of Norton 360. However I am very frustrated at being unable to "Permanently" disable the auto scan function which uses up to 20% of my CPU's resources during each auto scan. Here's a link that I sent to the Norton support community: forums/how-permanently-disable-auto-scan "
The link is self explanatory. Do you know of any work around that I could use to stop the maddening auto scan "feature". Thanks
I have been using Norton for years and I love it. Yes, it has had problems, but they fixed them. Right now with all the things going on in the world. It is hard to get someone to talk to when you need them. I will still stay with Norton. Thanks for sharing and have a nice safe day.
Thanks for sharing!
Which antivirus is best of best do you think?

Good video! Learned alot.
Great video Brian. Have you done a test on ZoneAlarm? I installed it years ago, the ‘Free’ version and think it is awesome. Got an alarm from ZoneAlarm to say a Russian Hacker was trying to access my laptop! Would be great to view your opinion on ZoneAlarm having noticed you have installed it on one of your systems some time ago!
McAfee had a problem in the past uninstall it. I prefer Norton and used it for years.
Also Norton is partnered with LIfeLock. 👍
VPN servicen in Norton 360 not working in my PC, can anybody give me the sollution

Just noticed a new icon look to norton w 360 by it. It must have updated itself.
My daughter was approached by a scammer when she tried to contact Norton after buying a lap top from PC world. Luckily she spotted it.
You should also try both Kaspersky and Bitdefender as well, because they don't mess up your PC like others... :)
tried both of them, very good antivirus programs.
Kaspersky sux!! They ruined my computer and I had to do a factory reset. I will never use them again..ever

Norton has always been pretty much tops in the office but not so much at home. I remember is how bad AVG used to be back in windows 95. back then AVG took of more space on the hard drive than anything in the computer and alot of times it didn't actually remove the viruses it would find.
Bloated piece of software, make the machines more unstable and sluggish than most malware it is supposed to protect you from.
Did my pc look sluggish? nope.
That's 2006 thinking. Norton used to be like that a long time ago but they've changed. You're stuck in the past

Don't get me wrong Norton security is a excellent tool, only thing I don't like about them they are hell bent to keep your auto renewal on and if you don't get a reminder when it's time to renew the price in rocketed up.
Yeah I have seen articles on that subject, I guess if its that good, why would you need to cancel
@@Britec09 true but look for deals.
Symantec corp's antivirus Norton has always been efficient security software for Wondows
Yes it is.
I had Norton antivirus for 3 month, but i didnt like it. so i deleted from my computer. When i had it didnt give me control of the firewall. thats why i took it avay. But they seem to set it up on the new Norton, but i have another Antivirus program now. So i ceep with the one i have now.
Overall I suppose it works OK but it is dang near impossible to log onto with their "I am not a Robot" BS as the pictures are fuzzy, small and if you don't get them all correct they lock you out for what they say is a hour but really ends up being an entire day. I noticed too that I have to reboot the computer several times day because various pages just won't load.
Nice.
Thanks!
Norton is actually one of the best antiviruses on the market. The only problem with it is it's reputation. People couldn't stop hating on Norton, because it was bad back 10 years ago and because of its misleading practices, but times have changed. You know people learn from their mistakes and seems like Symantec has done much about its improvement unlike other vendors.
Exactly people cant stop hating it. Now people say its worse than mcafee when it offers one of the best protection and is actually pretty lightweight antivirus.
I’ve been a subscriber to Norton for 15+ years and I’ve never had a crash/ infection/ Trojan/ worm, whatever, get into my machines. I will continue to use it for many more years. And their tech support that I contacted for a bad upgrade from Win7 to “free” Win10 and I was on for over 2 1/2 hours because of MICROSOFT system faults, not Symantec. I stand with Norton.
Glad you like them Michael
Back in 2000 Norton broke my system when I tried to uninstall it. In 2020 Windows Defender is all you need unless you are a big business.
seeing that 99,98% on microsoft windows defender shows just how much it has improved over the last year and a half. shows that it is just as effective as any of the others on that list. so why pay if defender is just as effective as the others?
no mail support, no vpn, no password manger, no decent firewall and that's for starters
@@Britec09 that's true but it's more than adequate for the average user. microsoft has that ATP for business now. i haven't looked into that but maybe it has some those items.
Just one word. Kaspersky. Unbeatable!
Hands down.
Kaspersky is based in Moscow. Do you trust software from Moscow with your privacy?

Having used Norton products now for some years, at times against 'the trend' I've always found them 'easy/simple' in use. Loved the 'Ghost' & 'GoBack' from 2008 (just checked my disc library).
As advised Brian, for me as a 'home' user on more than a couple of occasions I have been very pleased to make use of the backup provided with Remote Access and Support.
One thing I was not happy with is that this service is conditional that you have 'auto renewal' activated, thoughts?
atb t ..
I can answer that yet, not had it a year.
I had adware sneak by it.
How does Malwarebytes Premium compare to Norton?
Malwarebytes Premium is very weak compared to Norton
Norton used to be terrible like you said. I've used a few different free AVs but they're almost always full of bloatware and annoying popups/adverts. Nowadays Windows Defender is all you need for average pc needs, hence why they bundle AV software with bloatware to try an make a sale.
Im using norton 360 delux with lifelock

No and No is NOT sponsored. Just my opinion and if you have know me long enough, you know I disclose that.
@Jo Blow, stop being a troll and get a life
I always look in and see what Brian has to say as he is very knowledgeable and trustworthy, but I can remember this from windows 3.x - through to XP days - was always a resource hog back then causing stability issues in some machines, with that and some security issues that I was all to aware of I avoided it - this is just one of them: www.computerworld.com/article/3089872/security-vulnerabilities-in-symantec-and-norton-as-bad-as-it-gets-warns-researcher.html
The only good Norton was the Norton Commando 850 Roadster,Norton 360 standard will let you down time and time again.
If it really blocked malware Windows would stop working.
It's kinda funny that it's called Norton bc my last name is Norton
They know about every file you have in your computer and sends them to the server. I wonder if they steal people's banking details as well
i mean if they did there would be hundreds of lawsuits so I doubt it plus they have samples of viruses that’s what the cloud is they scan for samples
They do steal it, after I tried buying a pack from a game, I couldnt.

What's going on here?
Brian, was this a "Sponsored Video"?
No Rob, I always tell people when its sponsored as you should know.
go ahead and try to actually get a refund from norton- next to impossible
auto renewal is just a toggle switch
@Jo Blow I am with Bitdefender, just got an auto renewal notice they want to charge £69.99 to renew. I am sure I did not sign up for auto renew. As I never do. Many companies are guilty of these scam tactics.
A few years back, I had Norton active. Then bought a physical 12 month Norton 360 box from shelf in a store as it was sold very cheap. My norton was auto renewed which I had forgotten to cancel (my own fault). I called Norton and got a refund from the auto renewal and then added the code from the one I bought from the shelf in a store much cheaper. No issue to get refunded. That was at least my experience that time I wanted a refund. I agree that the auto renewal should be switched off by default rather than on. Just like all the spy stuff data collection in Windows 10 should be off by deafult rather than on. My experience with Norton over at least 2 decades has been awesome. Even back on my windows XP, or Vista machines. Yes it did slow down my Vista a bit at times, but I rather be safer than maybe 2 seconds faster and infected. On my current machines I can't even notice any Norton slow down. Other programs like NZXT CAM that I need for my liquid cooler, or Corsair uitiliy for my mechanical RGB keyboard etc hogs way more resources than Norton does.
This slowed down the computer (HP) to the point of no functionality. I will never use it.
FYI people, I just bought this software and during install they FORCE YOI to accept & sign up for automatic renewal!! There is NO WAY to activate the program without doing it. I called the company and after a lengthy conversation of their UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE I now have to uninstall it. It is ridiculous that I paid for the 1 year of it by ordering the install disc and waiting 3+ weeks to get it. I only wanted it so when I take my laptop somewhere I have protection. It came with McAfee and I should of just left it the way it was. I hated Norton from years ago because it just sucked but after seeing this vid thought they got better and gave them a shot!!!! But as usual for that company, THEY SUCK!!! Now I'm gonna find out if I can actually remover it without having to do a complete reinstall of my OS which is what I had to do the last time I tried to get Norton out of my computer!!! The problem is with antivirus in Windows and third party ones especially it sticks it self at root, forever scanning the whole of the PC at all times, making it a really bad experience, computer wise. I use Windows 10 for gaming and I don't run any of the third party antivirus, as a lot of them have gotten on the band wagon of selling advertising. No antivirus is any good anyway, it's one of those taboos. You the user is the best antivirus keep your data safe.
Norton - In North America anyway: One pays for it then one needs to give their Credit Card # to activate it. What a joke. They claim a auto renewal can be turned off - ya right. Search for the complaints.
