Very informative guidance. I've a question, whether Quant MF viz. Active Fund, Flexi Cap, Mid Cap, Large Mid Cap are good. You didn't recommend these funds.
Great presentation. Likes of this kind of teaching are always remembered by all listeners. Just thought of asking,"Is ICICI pru equity and debt fund not a balanced advantage fund?"
Hi Sir, Very useful video and thank you for sharing. I follow your videos regularly and appreciate your effort. Have a query. What is the recommended strategy for lumpsum investment in mutual funds for mid term to long term horizons? Should we invest in multiple chunks for averaging out the NAV? Also, please advise if this is the right time for investing in balanced advantage funds OR is it advisable to wait for some more correction (given the market situation in the past two weeks)...Thanks
Sir, I have 2 Queries: 1. Can I Substitute Debt Funds With Arbitrage Funds (for 6-12 Months Horizon)? 2. Can I Substitute Conservative Hybrid Funds With Equity Savings Funds (for 1-3 Year Horizon)? Both Arbitrage and Equity Savings Funds have better post tax returns. Please Guide.
Its will depend on equity and debt allocation in a particular scheme. Mostly fund managers will try to keep equity more than 65% - In that case LTCG or STCG.
Tax structure for any hybrid fund depends on the percent of equity and debt. In case of bal adv, normally, the equity is 60% and debt is 40%. This means it needs 2 yr holding period for ltcg. For Dynamic allocation, you have to somehow figure out the asset allocation percent for sucessive 12 month period. 😢
I have invested Rs 50 lacs in Jan23 in debt funds with plans to do SWP from Jan26 with indexation benefits applicable in Jan23.
