well technically despicable me came out 1 year after this movie so it makes more sense to say that the minions were designed just like the robot probes (which probably isn't true but idk)

Nice but Susan shouldn’t have taken damage from the orb falling on her. It didn’t hurt her
She didn't take damage at all, her healthbar is the same amount until she and the others get blown out of the ship.
